Skates that come with black Holders

What skates are available with black blade holders like Jaromir Jagr used to have? Just curious if anyone knew of any because ill be getting new skates soon and would like to get black holders.

You could always plasti-dip them (and re-apply when it chips off).

I've seen some Graf skates with black holders, but I don't know if they came like that, or if the person customized them.

Black holders were "in" in the 90s and most manufacturers offered black holders on their retail offerings. Black is "out" at the moment, but you'll occasionally see limited edition or SMU models with black holders. I believe the TotalOne had an LE model with black holders. Just get the skates that fit you the best and have your LHS put black holders on for you. It will cost extra, but it's better to be in the skate that you want and pay for the holders than buy a pair of skates strictly for the holders...

I had a pair of 652 Tacks with black holders that I wore from about 1997 until about 2008. When I finally replaced them, I was bummed about the white holders... it took me about a week to get over it.

I hated white holders.

I've seen it used on cars before and it holds up to rock chips fairly well. I don't see why it wouldn't work on skate blade holders. It's removable if you don't like it.

Yes, it was the One100 LE that was the black on black, that was about 3 years ago. If you can find any...

All of the major US online retailers have some stock in black Lightspeed 2 holders, just Google it.

You can dye them using RIT dye. You can buy it at any fabric shop. I've done a couple of pairs, they turned out pretty nice.

Please don't buy the wrong skates because they look cool. Buy whatever skates fit you well and then work on the holders. You can dye them, plasti-dip them or just buy black Tuuk Lightspeed holders and swap them onto your skates.
