Hopefully he'll end up being Seabrook lite. He has the talent to do it.

Maybe, maybe not. I think Dahlbeck is clearly NHL ready right now. Hopefully Roszival gets moved and Dahlbeck plays maybe half a season this year so that next year he is experienced enough. And then Johns and or Clendening are both wild cards but are both potentially good defensemen.

What about this...

This might be best lineup possible with Sharp still on team

- Saad re-signed at 4M AAV
- Nordstrom and Dahlbeck both of whom should have decent experience thru this year as callups on Morin like 750k 1 way deals
- Johns , Danault , Teravainen and Hartman on 2015 team
- Bickell + Steeger traded
- If Leddy improves you sign him at 3.5M and put him with Hammer ,, If not you sign Oduya to 2-3 year deal at 3.5M and try to develop kid to eventually supplant him
- Sign vet UFA defender in 2015 at 1M (A brookbank type)

Saad-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Teravainen-Hossa
Morin-Shaw-Hartman
Danault-Smith-Nordstrom
(Mashinter)

Keith-Seabrook
Leddy/Oduya-Hjalmarsson
Dahlbeck-Johns
(vet UFA)

Crawford
Raanta

2015 cap room = A little over 215k

Reality is no matter how some feel ,, Kids will be getting major chances on roster coming soon

All those guys aren't going to sign for peanuts and Simpson isn't anything close to NHL goalie

Well, the trajectory of Stan's drafting the past couple years seems mostly geared towards kids from USHL/SWE who might not have much in the way of a ceiling but are known to have an easier transition into playing a solid two way game, i.e. "good depth". That's aside from what we get in return for whomever gets the old cap dump.

I don't think Krüger will be a hawk after next season

Trading Sharp seems logical

Morin-Shaw-Hartman is a 3rd line I'd only allow myself to imagine in my dreams. That is 3 pests with scoring ability and skill. That could be the perfect 3rd line.

2015-16 Chicago Blackhawks

Bickell - Toews - Hossa
Saad - xxxx - Kane
Ross - Shaw - Hartman
Mashinter - Kruger - Smith

Regin

Keith - Seabrook
xxxx - Hjalmarsson
Dahlbeck - Johns

xxxx

Crawford
Raanta

A roster worthy of a lottery draft pick.

Meanwhile, the second line center debacle rages on.

Jeremy Morin won't last another year with Coach Q behind the bench.

Where are Teravainen and Morin and Leddy? Why did we choose to trade Sharp and not Bickell? We got nothing in players on ELCs or roster players, period, for a Sharp/Leddy package?

Even so, that is a Stanley cup caliber roster not a lottery pick roster

Jeremy Morin won't last another year with Coach Q behind the bench. Nick Leddy will be deemed too expensive to retain. Patrick Sharp has trade value. Bryan Bickell has negative trade value.

As for first round busts, first round busts typically reside in the AHL.

A Stanley Cup caliber roster does not employ two to three AHL caliber defenseman on the roster.

I really like this lineup but whether would go that way. I doubt that Sharpie will be traded just for picks and prospects. Leddy I could see going for picks and prospects. I really think that one or two will be gone before the end of the summer.

A defense that would rival the 2013-14 Toronto Maple Leafs. Corey Crawford will be hospitalized for shell shock.

Care to explain to me why Johns is on 1st pair? And why Seabrook is on 3rd with another right?

If that is your team this would be mroe reasonable

Keith-Seabrook
Hjalmarsson-Johns
Dahlbeck-Rundblad

The Chicago Blackhawks will be lucky if the Dahlbeck - Johns defensive pairing will be as good as Hendry - Sopel.

What talent? Two AHL caliber defenseman and a former first round bust.

David Rundblad is now associated with Stan Bowman as Kyle Beach was associated to Dale Tallon.

Are we even sure the Blackhawks can field a team? Let's throw Kane and Toews out there by themselves and let them play 2-on-5 all game, them selfish ********!

Man it seems like not many are upset at this, people cant see past next year... This team is going to be demolished after this year. Back to 2011 all over again, lets see what our Conn Smythe winners can do with no depth.

And then 2 years after 2011 they won the Cup.

It's all speculation. Some choose to be hopeful, others choose to be hopeless.

Yup!

Even worse, the 2010 NHL Draft is turning out to be an unmitigated disaster for Stan Bowman.

It won't be 2011, or at least shouldn't be because of the farm system we have.
