Ciccarelli to Penguins?

Found a paper snippet that suggested the North Stars were shopping hold-out Dino Ciccarelli around in 1987. LA Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins were rumored destinations.
Anyone know what players were rumoured to be headed from Pittsburgh to Minnesota? Or what affect a trade to Pittsburgh, and Mario Lemieux, would have had to Dino's numbers?

Oh wow. Considering Dino made a living in front of the net, and Mario was probably the best PP player ever, that would have been an incredible power play

And then throw a prime Kevin Stevens in there a few years later...that would have been interesting to see.

I wonder if Pittsburgh has Ciccarelli, if they ever make the trade for Tocchet. Or how much more (or less) effective Dino would have been than Rick. Obviously Tocchet came a few years later, Dino would have had an impact in the late 80s that Rick didn't have on Mario and the Pens offense.

There'd probably be a lot less fuss for Ciccarelli being in the HHOF because he'd presumably have a couple Cups.
