Deserved victory by the Germans.
Higuain had his bad day at the office again. Missing the breakaway and getting bulldozed by Neuer.

And Messi the best player of the tournament? Wouldn't have been my choice. Mascherano was more deserved just from Argentina.

Thanks bud... I'll be at the WC next year for sure and Argentina will win their 1st major tournament in 21 years next year as well.

Not my first choice but he was easily the best Argentina player. Masch was a beast against Netherlands but Messi was man of the match most of the games and carried the team this far. Without him they would be nowhere near the finals

Congrats to CGF, well deserved win. Even though Germany played rough game.

BTW Germany should've been down to 10 men on that horrific challenge by Höwedes

adidas and United have completed a deal worth a minimum of £750million (=$1.3b) over 10 years for their football kits.

Mental deal, considering that the next biggest is Real Madrid with £31million.
And the biggest thing here is that no other big club has a deal that will expire before 2018 (which is Barcelona with Nike), giving United quite an edge over the next 4 years.

I don't even know what to say after a game like this. I guess if you don't score from the kind of chances Higuain, Palacio and Messi had, you don't deserve to win. Congrats Germany, you deserved it, you were the best team during the whole month so I can't really complain. Robben should have won the best player award.

How is that viable from Adidas?? Just last season Arsenal signed a 5 year 30mill per deal with puma that was thought to be pretty huge. This helps Man Utd a lot especially considering the rumours were Nike were bailing due to the poor season. There must be something more to the deal surely?

I've read that United have often made deals where the sponsor gets a bigger cut from the merchandise sold than what many other teams do (close to 100% in fact), i.e. they want the kit maker to take the risk of the sales instead of them. But as I said, it's just what I've heard.

But what I know is that United shirts were the most sold around the world last season (or two seasons ago), with Real Madrid the only one really close. If I just could find the source again....

EDIT: here is one which has United and Real even at the top, with Barca quite close, but the rest are far behind.

Glad to see Germans win, but my heart will always stay with Poland.

Now since they proved to be the best in football, Deutschland needs to start developing some really good hockey players.

E: Arsenal VERY, VERY close of signing Khedira. Omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg

He missed some blatant calls here and there. Argentina might have won if Germany were reduced for 60 minutes.

I'm a little late to the party, but I guess my 2 Germany jerseys are a bit outdated now with only 3 stars

Well we do have Ivan Gazidis, who is Arsenal's version of Greg Sherman.

Accounting and money saving at it's finest.

So Conte has left Juve.
Who will replace him? Allegri? or is he going to coach the national team?

Conte is probably coaching the NT.

If Pogba leaves as well Serie A as an elite Euro league is officially dead in my mind. Juve was the last superpower in that league.

Hahaha i hope Allegri replaces him. Somewhere Pirlo is crying.

Also Roma stole Iturbe right from under Juves nose. Deal went down late tonight in Rome. 28 million plus a loan of Romagnoli to Hellas for Juan Iturbe.

This is the best day ever!

Funny, enough I was going to ask you about this earlier.

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/ne...ply&p=88081815

I'm personally happy he went to Roma as opposed to Madrid/Barca/Juve. Would've loved it if he went to Atleti(imagine him and Correa combining).

Pretty shrewd move by Verona bought him for 15 then sold him within 2 months for almost double that.

OT: but I have to say having your team lose in the finals is the worst. I've only experienced it twice in sports(both Argentina) and there times during the day where you replay stuff in your head and ask what if.

It's pretty depressing when your team ****ing sucks.

It's bad when your starting striker played seven times in four years for his team. It's bad when there's only one player on your team that you're actually convinced is good. It's bad when you can't win a game in a weak WC group.
