Not sure you are serious here, but this is ridiculous. McCarron produced 34 points this year? What a joke

That's the same thing as proposing Eller for Virtanen, Shinkaruk and Hansen.

Im not writing him off i see him as a useful 3rd liner, his offense i just dont see coming around to be able to crack the top six. There is nothing wrong with a 3rd liner were he was drafted, he was a tiny reach and safe pick route when drafted

McCarron a big body PWF to the Canucks.
Also a bit of a more ready C than Horvat
Habs get two great prospects, and a hard working winger
Horvat, Virtanen and Shinkaruk are better than McCarron, wouldn't trade either one for him. Take Hansen and a 3rd for Eller or no thanks. As for McCarron, sure he's huge but he doesn't score any goals...

I wouldn't trade Shinkaruk alone for the package.

Ellers is a complimentary player, and McCarron has looked pretty bad in London, falling well short of the lofty expectations most had for him.

McCarron's a 3rd liner at best IMO, if everything goes great.

I wouldn't trade any of those 3 assets for him straight across, not even Hansen.

Virtanen >>>> McCarron
Hansen & Shinkaruk >>>> Eller

Terrible for VAN any way you slice it.

To be fair Shinkaruk also sucks. Virtanen is also the most likely to bust of the guys who went top 10 this year.

How does Shinkaruk suck?

McCarron was a disappointment in the OHL.

Shinkaruk was injured, missed the entire season, and still looks better than everyone else at our prospects camp.

Yea Tinordi wil be a seventh defenseman at best and nathan beaulieu will never be a full time NHL'er. I can say ridiculous statements too!

Add Galchenyuk though I think Virtanen will be better than Galychenyuk when all is said and done.

Not a chance from Vancouver, yeah sure we want to get bigger, but we don't want to get dumber.

Moving two of our best scoring prospects one which was the first draft pick by a new GM I am guess are not going anywhere unless we get a legit impact player on the right side of 25, who is a proven producer at the NHL level already.

Like I could see us parting with one or two of those guys in a Kane trade, maybe.

I think Linden and Benning are done for now, unless a no-brainer deal falls in their collective laps; otherwise, I see them waiting till camp and seeing what they have so far. Then, they will reassess the roster. Honestly, the only moves I think we (canucks) will make would be to move guys blocking the young prospects if they prove to be ready during camp and/or pre-season.

Nice joke. Our board is currently ranking our prospects, our #14 prospect (Reway) had the 2nd highest PPG (10 pts in 5 games) in the WJC U-20's this year.

1. Nathan Beaulieu, Defenseman, Hamilton Bulldogs. (75.77% of the vote).
2. Jarred Tinordi, Defenseman, Hamilton Bulldogs. (55.33% of the vote).
3. Jacob De La Rose, C/LW/RW Leksands. (47.13% of the vote).
4. Nikita Scherbak, Right Wing, Saskatoon Blades. (65.75% of the vote).
5. Sven Andrighetto, Right Wing, Hamilton Bulldogs. (28.87% of the vote).
6. Zachary Fucale, Goaltender, Halifax Mooseheads. (32.76% of the vote).
7. Mike McCarron, Right Wing, London Knights. (23.08% of the vote).
8. Arturri Lehkonen, Left Wing, Frolunda. (29.41% of the vote).
9. Magnus Nygren, Defenseman, Farjestads BK. (38.10% of the vote).
10. Jiri Sekac, Right Wing, Prague Lev. (63.87% of the vote).
11. Dustin Tokarski, Goaltender, Hamilton Bulldogs. (36.48% of the vote).
12. Greg Pateryn, Defenseman, Hamilton Bulldogs. (46.15% of the vote).
13. Charles Hudon, Left Wing/Center, Baie-Comeau Drakkar. (45.21% of the vote).
14. Martin Reway, Left Wing, HC Sparta Praha. (40.91% of the vote).

making the jump from the USDL to the OHL is never easy. Its a big adjustment. He will be better this year....

Looks pretty mediocre lol. Horvat, Virtanen, Shinkaruk would be the top-3 prospects in your pool, and Demko > Fucale.

Well over half of these guys will play in the NHL in regular roles. Not sure you can say the same about many teams top 10 prospects(Certainly cant say that about Vancouvers, they haven't even drafted 10 NHLers in the last decade). 8 of them are knocking on the door this year. 4 have already played in the NHL and looked good.

Haha good one. No they won't. Only Beilleau might not bust although I wouldn't hold my breath.

McCarron is a work in progress for sure. He's a very big man (6'6", 241 lbs) that will take time to develop his game. He made the jump from the USDL to the OHL and there were definite growing pains, but he did look much better as the season progressed. This year will be very important for him, with Domi and Horvat possibly gone from the Knights, more of the offensive duties will be placed on McCarron's shoulders, which should improve his stats, which many on these forums use to gauge if a prospect will be a bust or not. The Habs won't be rushing him, so he'll have the time to develop and to grow into his body.

Beaulieu 21 yo, 23 game in the NHL+7playoffs looking at the #5D spot this year
Tinordi 22 yo, 30 games in the NHL+5PO looking at the #5D spot
Jacob De La Rose, played with men last season, looking at a 3rd line spot this year
Nikita Scherbak 78 pts in the WHL despite not even speaking english at start
Andrighetto second scorer on his AHL team as a 21 yo looking at third line spot
Fucale Most win by a QMJHL rookie, fastest QMJHL goalie to 100 win
Mike McCarron He's big.
Arturri Lehkonen 2nd in pts on a SM-Liga team as 18yo 1st as 19th
Nygren Swedish defenceman of the year in the SHL looking to stick in the NHL
Sekac 28 pts in KHL as a 22 yo
Tokarski Did well in the PO looking at stealing Budaj spot
Pateryn Doing well in the AHL looking to stick in the NHL
Hudon if it were not for injuries, would have made the U20 squad as a 18 yo
Reway 2nd on his team in pts played well in the WJC and WC

Just there you have already 2 almost established NHL players at #1-2 that are almost sure not to bust.

OP are you serious? One of the most stupidest proposals i've ever read.

EDIT: Eller blows by the way.

Shinkaruk > Mcarron
Virtanen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eller
