About what I thought it'd be, which is too much. Hope he has a big year.

A bit of an overpayment considering what he's proven so far, but he's obviously getting paid for potential.

Yes. This actually buys off one of his UFA years.

Nice chunk of change for Kuli. Glad it's 3 and not 1.

Probably overpaid by about 500-750k but whatever...it's about time this guy put it together. I actually prefer this over a 6+year deal.

Probably a structured deal and not 4.3 every year. Good to see. He just needs to get the consistency more like the 2nd half last season.

He hasn't done anything special to deserve this contract. This one reminds me of the Olesz contract. Olesz got 6 years at 3.2 per year and did nothing in the previous years to deserve any of that.

I hope this is the year Gudy and Kulikov mature and be what they were drafted to be. I hate how all our money is tied up in mediocre defense and goaltending. You have to score to win games......

Once Hayes and Ekblad get signed, will have less than $5 million remaining in cap space. Can't say Viola/Tallon weren't serious about being a cap team.

Kuli's not perfect, but his play down the stretch was solid. If he can keep that up, he's our second best dman and worth the contract.

But wait, overpaying for Bolland is ok because we have so much cap space and aren't going to be anywhere close to the cap.

weren't the Panthers one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL last season? YES.

I only meant mediocre defense, but Lou's contract is crazy as well. He's an above average goalie, don't get me wrong here.

7 plus for Campbell is horrible, lets be honest with ourselves. It's not like this team has an exceptional defender on the team. No all star 1st ballot guys at any position on this team. So please stop defending guys that don't deserve it.

Yup. We have an owner willing to spend. Thankfully we'll have a ton of cap space next season because right now we are one expensive mediocre team.

He's done a lot special. Is he perfect? noooo, but he is a puck moving dman who can shoot and score. Count on 2 hands how many there are.
And Campbell is special as well, just give him a team to work with. . Recall kuba to compare and contrast.

And i like showing that our kids will get paid upon performing.

I completely agree we need scoring. i don't see how are money is tied up with this years cap space and ever increasing moving forward.

Never should have overpaid for Bolland. Terrible move by Tallon. Really stupid. Now we don't have much cap space left.

Have you paid any attention to the previous two offseasons? 6-7M is the norm for UFA d-men these days.

That contract was terrible when it was signed with the previous cap, not with this current one.

Lots of capspace after next season when guys like Kopecky (3M) Fleischmann (4.5M) and Upshall (3.5M) are UFAs.

And it's off the books in two years.

Tallon has a positive outlook on these guys because he wouldn't be giving them all this money. There is a chance this defense could be elite, but I honestly think Campbell needs to go. His contract needs to go to someone who can score 30 plus and total 70+ points per season. That's just my opinion.

We don't need much more cap space this season. A lot of money comes off the books the next couple of years.

People freaking out about the cap need to calm down. We've got a lot of money being freed up at the end of the next season.
