That's not true he never left practice, he didn't attend the Practice at all. O'Neill double shifted in his place.

But he was in full gear ready to get on the ice, so I doubt anything is wrong with him physically. Remmember he was skating with team-mates before training camp. Lets just wait for official word from Quinn or JFJ before we panic.

I personally think Allison is fine. O'Niell during the interview just said he left for whatever reason. Didn't say anything else. Don't be so worried, people. Go play NHL 06 and then forget all about it.

Hell, score a couple with Allison while you're at it!

Maybe he just realized that he got screwed in his contract negotiations and is going home to hold out.

maybe he isn't going to do training as an insurance against him not getting hurt. Just light practacing and no contact, that way he can't get hurt.

And about Forsberg and Hatcher they got hurt on the ice did they not? Allison was not even on the ice so he might not even be hurt so there is no grounds for them to make fun until it is made official that he was hurt.

LOL If they are scared that he will get hurt practicing, better make him sit on the bench during regular season games too, just to make sure. Whats in that Dunnville water?

Allison took himself out of practice, although he "felt great".

Tweaked his hip flexor, nothing to worry about.

Allison with Mild Hip Flexor Strain

Allison's got a mild hip flexor strain. He took himself out "even though I felt great. I'll be ready come October 5". This according to the Toronto Star's blog site.

You had me scared there for a moment. Damn. Glad to know he'll be ready for October 5th!

Even though it isn't big, this is still dissapointing. He hasn't even played in a full practice, or a heavy skate and he is feeling injured.

Nearly three years off and now 30. He needs to take it slow. Probably pushed too hard.

I really do hate to be a hater and all, but I mean PLEASE.

The guy can't even last half a practise! How in the blue hell is he supposed to make the leafs a contending team!

Leafs fans should be crossing their fingers that Steen makes the team... he'll help their offence a lot.

After reading the report, I'm really excited about Jeff O'Neill. I think he'll prove to be our best pick-up.

Quote:
Big Swede Staffan Kronvall got one in on Lindros, putting the star on his backside with a solid check. Afterward the poor fellow didn't know whether to smile or run for cover:

"I knew it was him – I actually tried to hold back a bit. I could’ve hit him harder. I definitely felt it wasn’t the right guy to hit."

"You gotta respect these guys, definitely. Hopefully he's going to be my teammate one day. We’ll see what he says after this."
Poor guy!

Not surprised to hear Steen is giving it his all.
