Minor hip flexor strain? Probably nobody. Lots of players get those.

the sky is falling

I heard a report that Zetterburg sp? from Detroit had a hip flexer strain. Its too bad they spent all that money on oft injured players insert more comments of those pleading doom and gloom and those of the trolls as well... blah blah blah. I'm just glad it wasn't as drastic as breaking a nail. Oh and I will be at Joe louis to whatch the buds spank the Dead things on the 30th...

In an article I read today he made it sound like it wasn't his choice to not skate. Said he felt fine. So it's Leafs management that's being overly cautious. I don't blame them.

Thats what I got out of it too. It explains him being in full equipment and being ready to take to the ice.

As a Flyer fan I should be razzing you guys because of the Hatcher/Forsberg razzing but I won't.

I wouldn't sweat it. It seems minor and at least he is not playing through it this time. He'll be back in a day or 2.

BTW Hatcher should be skating in the next few days. its at the bottom of the article.

although some have said that they have to establish that he's not on injured reserve by playing him. That way the first 3 days of his suspension will be filled while he is still recovering. He won't play much in those exhibition games.

Not sure, I'll look at the tickets tonight and let you know. My wife bought them for me as part of my anniversary gift.

edit. Sec 106. Row 20, so pretty decent.

"Definitely a disappointment, but it's nothing big," Allison said of sitting out. "I just had a little strain, but with a double session that started out with a skate (he was not in much pain at that point before the scrimmage), they didn't want me to push it the first day with the bad ice.

"I was a little bummed out, but it's a long year and a long camp. It was probably the smart thing to do, rather than miss another two weeks."

Just the day before, Allison was musing about how he, Eric Lindros and Mats Sundin were capable of 80- to 90-point seasons if all three centres stayed healthy

Allison was on the ice today & participated in the scrimmages. Seems like it wasn't a big deal after all.

The Leaf practices are open to the public for the rest of the week at the Ricoh Coliseum. They start at 9a.m.
