Look at the size of that guy. That has to be malik. Kondratiev isn't that big.

don't think it's Malik..Drats didn't look small in the rookie camp photo they posted...Ola's saying it could be Taylor, I'm gonna stick with Drats.

i think its just for training.

I know a lot of European players who do that. Messier did something with a newer helmet at the allstar game a few years back I believe.

edit: On second thought, that doesn't look like Malik /end of edit

I think the change on the 2-line pass benefits Malik's game. The guy can flat out make a long pass through the neutral zone and he will start some breakaways for you guys. He really doesn't get the credit he deserves because everyone expects him to be an agressive beast because of his size. He will be a very solid d-man for you guys.

If Jagr wants to show he can still be the best player in the league, if the defense holds up, and if Kevin Weekes just be Kevin Weekes then you guys really aren't bad off in this rebuilding process. To me the East is wide open...some teams who are claiming to be "rebuilding" will be in playoff hunt.

Jagr used that helmet durning the WC's so its possible he'll use it durning the season.

Possible but I think there was a rule put in place about helmets a while ago.

Like the old McCarthy and Messier helmets have a cut off of like 1972 or 74.

The one Jagr is wearing (Gretzky, Kurri, McSorley) hasn't been used in years. I'm wondering if he clears the age limit or if its just for practice because its probably as light of a helmet as you can get.
