This team is still finding itself and winning while doing it.

Color me impressed.
Could it be the people complaining might have been on to something?

What do you call a win like this if they hang on?

That could have been the worst CFL game I have ever seen.

The Canadian content rule needs to be reviewed in the CFL ...just so many players on the roster that shouldn't be paid for playing football, why wouldn't 5 National players suffice?

Derp coaching staff.

I hate how the terrible decisions will be covered up by a very unworthy win.
Another great question. Jones has been questionable with his decisions the last three games, starting with the ridiculous third down fake punt gamble in his own endzone against Calgary.

Football is a game of intimidation and week to week momentum. The Eskimos are not worrying anyone in the west. This game proved they are probably the worst in the division aside for the bombers.

That game was sorta exciting in a fumbly way.

Gotta hand it to the coaching staff. They seem to call the right plays and manage the time like.............................................r eal coaches.

That was fun to watch.

Have you watched any of the other games they've played this season? Not saying that wasn't an ugly win, but this is a bit much IMO.

Gotta give credit to Ottawa too. They looked well coached tonight.

The coaching staff almost cost them the game.

Eh maybe im just being an apologist but I don't hate the second half of that game

Team daggered themselves at several points but really we crushed them for 30 straight minutes

team has some problems going forward but hey it beats losing

They beat the Redblacks without scoring a touchdown by only scoring 10 points, they almost lost to the worst team in the CFL. Are you not concerned?

Poor kicking, Poor throwing, poor special teams, a load of injuries. That defense deserves all the praise they can handle.

I've never been a big advocate of this but the quality of play this year in the entire league has been the worst I've ever seen. Hopefully this season is a one off due to expansion but right now these games have been tough to watch.

I watched little of the game, but this thread tells that the officiating was more of the same. Whistle happy refs neuter the game regardless of the sport. Combined with the expansion and weak East, this is a pretty poor year overall.

6-1, baby. Damn the Eskimos for handing 20 points off turnovers in one half to Calgary.

I noticed a steady decline the last 5 or more years. The league does not produce good quarterbacks anymore. Where did they all go?

Correct, it was a lousy game. Singular. As in, one. Had they played that game against a better team like the Stampeders they may have been demolished. But one game does not make a season, and as cliche as it sounds, good teams need to build on adversity like this. We'll see how they respond.

3 and 1 gamble on the 20 yard line with around 5 minutes left, no field goal?

Did you watch the whole game? Are you happy that professionals are making these kinds of decisions week in and week out?

If i am going to be an optimist, i will say maybe it has to do with a rookie head coach, but that is really stretching it.

Not really but the fact they're 6 and 1 on the heels of last season's disaster takes a lot of the sting out. Winning ugly beats not winning at all every time.

You sound like a person that has watched allot of football.

Good on you.

I'm not saying the coaching staff didn't mess up a few times, but in the end they got the win.

And I did watch the game. I just don't get that wound up when there are bad plays. I think I was possibly snickering at the TV at the time.

Its hard not to be pissed when we had to deal with Kavis Reed for years, and bad management starts to sneak into the games you start getting vivid traumatic flashbacks lol
