If he got $5 mill per stepan will get around $6-6.5 and then zucc will be around $5 too and then staal has to resign and hags too... Salary cap makes me sad...

One year of group II and four years of group III.

Brassard got more money than Bryan Little.

Centers are hard to find.

$5M for 5 years is a very fair deal for both sides.

Grabovski,Little and Gagner are getting $5M in their group III years. That's the market.

I'm pissed they caved on Brassard but didn't extend Zucc for a long term deal. That's the more important line member. Jeez.

Pretty fair term. Happy to not have another pending UFA.

So, it's totally tradeable, no NMC, NTCs?

If that's the case then not too bad.
However, as and for an immediate concern, we need a roster spot and cap space for Hayes max ELC deal. Do we have that?

The cap better keep going up. I like Brass, but that's a lot of money for our 2nd/3rd liner.

Allan Walsh does it again. Brass better step up. 5M for a player that never scored 20 goals or 50 points and doesn't go up against top line competition. This will look bad by December if Brass doesn't take the step next step he's no been supposed to for years now.

Meh. I don't think Brass is worth 5 million, but I guess with the cap going up it is what it is.

Now you know why the Rangers signed Zuccarello for one year at $3.5M. They wanted to re-sign Brassard and didn't have the $ to give Zuccarello a long-term contract.

Probably about .5 more than I would have liked but buying 4 years of free agency will do that.

Awards:
Maybe $500K more than what was ideal, but it's still pretty fair.

Zucc IMO is better... lets hope we can get him to sign after Jan 1st.
