Best troll would be Klopas replacing him as TD

Some Tweets I found about the Q&A with Joey
  • According to a MLS Pool, Montreal is the second least desirable place to play in the MLS after Chivas due to language, taxes
  • Joey thinks that Occean isn't necessarily the best Quebecois player outside of Montreal
  • Jack Mac has 1 more year
  • New CBA in 2015 could see the cap increase
  • Want the 17' ASG for MTL's 375th vs Madrid or Barca

No clue why we haven't used our relationships with Lyon/St-Etienne yet to be honest

What connections/relationships?

No clue why we don't sign more players out of France, period.

We sent our whole U21's squad in St-Etienne two years ago. Team was fed and lived in the academy's headquarters, watched a first team training, and played a game versus ASSE's U21.

As for Lyon, the friendly they played against us in MTL

On the radio, Filosa has repeatedly said NDS has connections everywhere. Bull ****.

He had the connection with Philippe Billy that brought us a couple of French players (I don't remember if Canada came here before or after Billy though). Then he had the Italian connection through Ferrari. And during his whole time at the helm, he often went to Argentina. Dude didn't know enough CONCACAF soccer.

I hope that will change. We need a solid core of american players while we develop Canadians. We need to keep an eye open in Central America, we can find gems there. And use our cultural similarities to lure some good French players.

Wow great news, I like Saputo's personality. NDS has been with the organization since '94, must be tough for him but it was time. My guess Klopas TD, Biello interim coach..........or Nesta

I think a lot of people are wondering that. I can understand why they prefer to go with Italians/Argentinians because of the fact that Saputo is Italo-Québécois and therefore has affinities with people from the same culture, but it feels like they're ignoring French players. Is Camara really the last French player we signed? (I'm not counting Lefèvre who came through l'Académie.

That's an MLS poll, polling mostly Americans and a few Internationals...what do you expect from Americans, they have difficulty fitting into a foreign environment. Go to Europe, transfers happen all the time and they seem to fit wherever they go. This is a typical biased American response. It's time to go completely International including coach and adopt a 100% European mentality.

Serious question, do MLS teams (and the Impact in particular) have scouts the same way NHL teams do?

I understand there's a huge difference in resources between an NHL and MLS team, but would you think there would be some sort of professional scouting in place on other continents.

Great idea! Just remind me which MLS teams have had success doing that?

Next in line is Klopas. Poor tactical decisions, manages the bench poorly, no identity and so on ... we'll see what happen from this point on. Saputo said they will focus on Championship, that's great but we do not have the players nor a game plan to win this thing. Aside from a few players, there is no effort out there! Klopas is grasping at straws, I thought Nyassi played well at the start before his injury. It could have been a break out season like Romero is enjoying presently, so what does he do, trades him to a team he knows well and brings in Dilly "Daddy" Duka. Another American who by this time next year won't be with this team.
