This is what torques me off more than anything else... the fact that this rich fat cat is soaking up the sun in the Caribbean while the Blues languish in misery.

It's obvious to anyone with more than two functioning synapses that Dollar Bill Laurie doesn't give a flying you-know-what about the Blues -- he won't spend money to make them more attractive or competitive, and he (or his flunkies) keep blowing up potential sales with last-minute demands like non-refundable $10 million deposits.

I hate to wish ill of anyone, but I hope all of his teeth fall out, except the one in which he needs a root canal...

Sauer was just on KTRS. Said that in his opinion, an agreement will be reached with a buyer within a month.
Said that once that is done, it will probably take till the end of the season before the deal is fully completed and the changeover is complete.

Raise your hand if you think that the Penguins going on sale is seriously going to hamper any chance of this team selling.

New Arena and slot machines or not, they at least have a product to market to sellers.

All we have is "The Streak". I could easily see this one dragging into next season.

FWIW.....Andy Strickland reported today on 1380 ESPN radio in St. Louis, that a deal could be announced within days....curiously enough, he would not mention the buyer/partners involved....

I'm the new bidder. I'm just waiting for Laurie to accept my bid of 52 cents.

Well I just offered 54 cents, but I hope he doesn't do the Canadian $ conversion before accepting my deal.

Strickland says the lawyers for both sides are working on drafting the documents, but still have a lot of issues to work out.

However, no mention of who "the other side" is. Yet.
