Soderberg would be ideal for the oil and take a lot if pressure off RNH. But circumstances being what they are I can't see prying him away from the bruins.

I think personally that depending on how the Habs do this season... I think that Plekanec could be moved for cap reasons.

Seeing as Galchenyuk/Gallagher/Beaulieu/Tinordi all need re-signing.

Plekanec's 5mill could save the Habs money to put towards raises for the players above.

What would Edmonton offer say before the draft next year?

It would be dicey, but you get out from under his contract to apply some of their cap space on an upgrade that is short term with what they have coming up and could likely swoop for something at the deadline with assets. I don't think they are big time cup contenders with DD, so look to upgrade him at some point, get this asset pair it with something else for something a little better closer to the deadline.

There were tons of UFA 2nd line centers available last month.

Would love to get him but by the sounds of it the cost would be too high so I can't see that deal going down. I would do a deal for Plek but it is not like he would get back one of our top 6 wingers. Pick and prospect that is about it.

I would give Petry and a pick or prospect. Petry is young and shoots right. That would improve two areas of our team the centre spot and defense.

Hall; RNH; Eberle
Perron; Sutter; Purcell/Yak
Pouliot; Arco/LD; Pucell/Yak
Hendrick; Gordon; Lander/Gazic/Pitlick

Martin; Fayne
Nikitin;Marincin/Schultz
Ference; Marincin/Schulz

It gives EDM a centre man that can play 2C for a few years until LD develops to push him down. There are two problems with Sutter though the amount he will want for a contract and procession numbers that make me think twice of adding him. I would rather go another route to be honest. MacT is big on stats and numbers and Sutter doesn't really match up.

So you'd give an inferior pending UFA D-man for a superior one and a young two way center? How could we refuse.

Perron's coming back if we're dealing both Sutter+Martin.

We don't want or need Martin though.

Plekanic the cost is likely Taylor hall.

Anybody that would actually be any good is going to cost you something you don't want to give that would just open up a whole at another position.

Your best bet is to try and get a young guy who is out of waivers, someone similar to Florida getting Pirri. The guy you get won't be a sure thing, and maybe isn't any better than Arcobello, but it gives you another option of someone who can battle with Arcobello. You might get lucky.

If the Oilers offer Hall for Plecks I take it and run away with it.

I think one of Desharnais or Plekanec can be had for the right piece

Habs short on wing

Do you think we could swing something around Budaj for Draisaitl+Nurse as well?

Lol...my gender says otherwise.

Vinny would be perfect for the Oilers though. Gives them a bridge until LD is ready. Too bad he won't waive....if I had to guess. I always wonder if that was the team Philly had a deal with but Vinny said no.

Not necessarily. I'm a male too, but my students often call me a "mother."

I hope "gender" is a pet name for your psychiatrist, if you think genders could "say" otherwise.

Just messing with ya, feel free to give it back

The trick to avoiding the filter for words like dick, is to say it in another language. For example, schwanz is German for the very word were talking about.

EDIT: OK... Apparently "dick" isn't filtered. Inb4infraction.
