I wish Chase and Nurse played on separate nights, but I can't complain. Hockey in August is pretty awesome.

Max Domi - Nic Petan - Nick Baptiste
Michael Dal Colle - Bo Horvat - Zach Nastasiuk
Nick Ritchie - Connor McDavid - Jérémy Gregoire
Morgan Klimchuk - Robby Fabbri - Brendan Perlini

Chris Bigras - Madison Bowey
Shea Theodore - Dillon Heatherington
Travis Sanheim - Ben Harpur

Eric Comrie - Philippe Desrosiers

I love Baptiste. I think he's going to be the next O'Reilly type. I was uber angry he wasn't drafted by the Oilers.

Game Notes: Philippe Desrosiers starts in net for Canada, and Bo Horvat is the Captain tonight.

Edit:

McDavid, Bigras with 'A's.

Scoreless after one. Canada goes 0/2 on the Power Play.

Connor McDavid and Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers looked the most impressive.

Morgan Klimchuk left the ice earlier after being cut with a high stick (was bleeding) and has not returned.

Edit:

Klimchuk has returned for the 2nd period.

Robby Fabbri off a turnover gets the breakaway goal top shelf.

God i miss hockey.

That bad pass up the middle by the Russian defender that led to Fabbri's goal brought me right back to last season

Goaltender Eric Comrie comes in to finish off the remaining 30 minutes of the game.

Philippe Desrosiers was extremely impressive in his first period and a half.

Nick Ritchie finishes off a great passing-play by Connor McDavid and Robby Fabbri. McDavid has been buzzing all game and finally helped put something home.

2-0, Canada.

I'm not watching the stream so forgive me if this was answered but is Cherepanov related to the kid that died after the Rangers drafted him in 2006?

Off some miss-communication by the Russians Bo Horvat pots home a goal.

Off a Canadian three-on-one Zach Nastasiuk pots home as easy a goal as you can get.

4-1, Canada!

Russia Timeout.

McDavid and Fabbri work so well together, Nick Ritchie adds great size and skill to that line!

In a second period that saw Canada explode offensively, putting up three goals (and could've had more) has them looking very impressive.

Hoping for a 7-6 Canada win to increase Jarry's chances of making the team.
