Kindl would be pretty solid 6/7 Dman for Calgary.

Both guys are career minor leaguers. Treliving has mentioned he's still looking to add to our defence. Not sure why Billins bolted to the K, he would've likely had the inside track.

How about Derek Morris on a 1-year 750k contract... he can finish his career where it began.

A couple options:

1. Sign Tallinder.

2. As stated by others - waiver claim. Butler off waivers!

I wouldnt trade Kindl for a 5th, a 3rd maybe. I still believe in his potential to turn the corner, also who replaces him? After we struck out on the free agent market.

Lashoff for a 5th or 6th would be doable.

Flames have Cundari as the #7, no need to trade for someone right now.

I don't want him anywhere near the Flames. That whole situation was so stupid, and it blew up in his face big time.

The Flames would have given him every opportunity to develop and grow his game in the NHL, instead he listened to papa and chased after the big lights of NYC. Now he's an NHL scrub. Karma ******.

Avs have a plethora of them. Who do you want?

Seriously though, as others have said just go dumpster diving and you'll find one.

Flames already have likely the highest paid and the most #6/7 in the NHL.

Giordano...........Brodie
Russell..............Smid
Wotherspoon.....Engelland
Wideman

Don't really want any of the guys mentioned so far, including Cundari. What the Flames need is a legit top 4 to move 3 to 7 down a notch. Right handed if possible.

They did. He'll likely be locked into the bottom pairing though.

It's pretty funny. That kid could have developed properly in this system. He would probably have a middle pairing role in Calgary right now; what a clown.

Some guys look for opportunity, others are just stupid.

Wideman won't start the year off as our number 7 guy.

I'd also rather Wotherspoon play top minutes in the AHL to start the year.

Treliving already stated that he is looking for possible options for a 6/7 defenseman as a reclamation project. Would like to have Cundari be the 6/7, but I am okay with signing a 1 year to a guy to give him a chance.
