Define "decent". Buffalo almost assuredly will waive Matt Ellis at some point in camp and he's likely to be Rochester's captain.

As a 4th line center, you could do worse. He's solid on the PK and always gives everything he has on every shift. Has no offensive upside whatsoever. Not overly fast. Not soft, not physical either. He's "willing" to battle along the boards. Not sure he wins half the battles though.

considering Dallas' depth at the centre position, I could see this. His AHL point total for this last season is impressive.

Any scouting reports on him?

The panthers may call up shore at some point if there are injuries. He's young but would make a solid 3-4c

To add to this, he signed a new 2 year deal with a cap hit of $625,000/season on a 1 way deal this Summer. I don't think the team would have given him this contract, just to send him down to the AHL. So the odds that they dump him to make room for Gibbons is low. But I guess we shall see what happens in camp.

Oil should really have no interest in Gibbons or Ferraro..unless its to stock up on players for OKC...these guys are small and speedy...which the Oiler shave a surplus on.

Cormier is not NHL quality.

Biggest thing about Sam is he needs to buy in that hes NOT an NHL C.

Once he commits himself as a playmaking RW he will thrive. Dave Tippett will make a player of Gagner.
