Other than Hall. Will anyone earn their salary?

Perron is the only one who even has a chance

Nuge.

Guy looks faster, heavier, and his shot is harder than ever. Looks poised to break out.

Like you said Nuge, Perron, and I think Scrivens and Fasth both will too. Pouliot as well.

For defense, I feel Fayne will, and outside of guys on entry-levels I think that's probably it. Maybe Schultz?

Nuge will. Bold prediction but I think he will be right up there with Hallsy in points this year.

RNH this year. Eberle in 2 years with rising cap. Fayne this year, Perron.

Yakupov and Draisatl will since they're on entry level deals. Scrivens and Fasth will.

Scrivens, Fasth, Marincin, Fayne, Klefbom, Perron, RNH of the regulars. If Eberle has a 30-30-60 season, that's essentially a 5-6M stat line with the current salaries in the league.

Oilers have a big opportunity with cheap goalies this season. Fasth might be signable on a 2 year 3.5-4M extension too. Buys some development time for Brossoit.

I have a feeling this is Nuge's year. He's looked stronger when I've watched.

I'll also throw Petry, Fayne and Marincin out there. They've got pretty low cap hits and we'll get quite a bit out of them.

Eberle has a bit better than a 50/50 chance to earn his pay. Why you say? Because when Hopkins is playing well, Eberle = Money

I'll also throw Perron's name out there because he brings so much to the table.

Far too many people think that Eberle isn't earning his contract. 60+ points should earn him that contract, and he has shown no signs of not scoring at the rate.

Will he be as big of a steal as Hall and hopefully RNH, if this is truly the year he breaks out? Maybe not. But he has produced up to this point sufficiently enough to have earned the 6m he is making.

True, I would say he is/will earn his salary with respect to the league average. That said, in EDM, to earn his salary he needs to keep up with RNH and Hall and be way ahead of everyone else, because that is where he is in terms of salary.

Edit: it would also be interesting to see how many of the "comparable contracts" around the league were UFA signings.

Eberle, and (yes) Justin Schultz will live up to their contracts.

Hall, RNH, Scrivens, and Perron will overproduce their contracts.

Purcell will be a bust. Pouliot will be slightly overpaid for actual production, but we need a player like him in the worst way so it won't be an issue.

Schultz has looked real good in preseason play and has been great defensively as well . He going to get paid next year . I agree with all the other players
