Rangers training camp progress report

Our new writer, Leslie, has her second article posted.

First of all, great to see her put out 2 articles so close together. Also, I think the progress from her first article (which I frankly thought was pretty poor) is very encouraging to see. A much better job - the content is more informative and the writing itself was a tremendous upgrade over her previous attempt. Well done.

As to the content - glad to see all of the positive reviews. I'm also glad to see the few negatives, because they give me more confidence in the positives (although I obviously want to see Montoya and Jessiman improve over their efforts to date). My only complaints are that I'd like to hear about some of the other kids (Dawes, Balej, Baranka, etc.) who went unmentioned (although I understand that with the sheer number of prospects the team now has, this is difficult) and I thought the Lunqvist review contradicted itself - was he admirable or less than sharp?

Still, all in all, pretty good stuff. Thanks, Leslie.

dubi as in the Dubi that writes articles at rangerfancentral.com? I used to go to allsports.com/nhl/rangers and stuff wish they'd get rid of that horrible messier picture

I think HF is really starting to step it up for NYR fans, and I for one appreciate it. Granted some of the info we knew already, but I think Leslie did a fine job reporting on camp and she was informative and on time.

Apart from Lundquist performing admirably in yesterday's scrimmage but not being particularly sharp it was much much better although like flyline stated there was really nothing new here. If nothing else though it was good practice for our aspiring writer to get in.

Hopefully she can post some info on todays session since Dubi wasn't able to be there.

True (and thanks for that Dubi), but that's no reason not to recognize good work and show appreciation for it, right? Hopefully it continues.
