He played tonight, 1 goal for him. TPS won 4-1 and Korpiskoski scored TPS fourth goal.

His goal tonight:

http://rapidshare.de/files/5720814/L...it.01.avi.html

He played in second line with these guys:

Markus Seikola - Antti Hulkkonen
Kai Nurminen, left winger - Jari Kauppila center - Lauri Korpikoski, right winger

TPS will play next time saturday (tomorrow) vs Pelicans (propably worst team in finland league, we might see Korpikoski scoring lot )

Nope, KalPa or even Jokerit seems to be the worst at this time. Still, Jortikka (TPS head coach) prefers hard working players but tends to favor the older, more experienced players.

I like this guy. Just based on the tape I saw, he looks to have good speed and works hard in the corners. Nice to see him getting more ice-time so far.

Not bad company. Kai Nurminen is a 36 y/o pointcarpenter, I guess he is starting to become somewhat of a legend by now. Kauppila is a small skilled center with great speed.

Jokerit ain't that bad, what i saw last night. They were pretty good in PP, but just couldn't score. Well and they hit post 3 times. It was very tie game, but TPS was lucky.

Exactly, i was most suprised by his defensive play. He's working really hard both sides of ice.

Here's my 2 cents on what my 1st impressions of him are

Skillful player, pretty good passer, sees the ice well, uses him body efectively.
He has played with Prucha & Neimenen and they looked like an instant hit to me and in my opinion should be kept together. We all know that in hockey there exist a thing called instant chemistry and they showed it. The problem I see for Immonen is that the organization may have the need to finally find out if other players can do the job in the NHL and that might dictate that he starts the year in Hartford.

Personally I think he has shown that he deserves to make the team out of camp. Unfortunately I don't have a vote. The important think is is that I don't think he has looked out of place. The key to his making it is whether the NYR's elect to reverse what they said about Lundmark playing center and move him to RW. Then I think Immonen is a lock.

Once again, I think you are another poster that gives an accurate assessment on our european prospects and I appreciate that. Far too many posters here over hype players based on things they have read. You give information based on your personal observations from seeing the player(s) which to me is far better than reading about in the THN!

Nothing to be surprised of with finnish players, especially not TPS players.
