I believe this is the first time Austin actually positvely acknowledges a return match scenario.

He's said he is not interested in doing random stunner / ref appearances like he has done tons of in the past.

I think the last appearance at mania was just an exception with the network non-sense and appearing with Hogan/Rock

Meh.

Never was a SCSA fan, and that always-annoying "what" chant will forever be his fault.

i only want him to do it if his health isn't at risk, and the angle is well thought out.

to me there are 3 possibilities

john cena. makes all the sense in the world, the face of attitude vs the face of smiles

the undertaker. they never had a WM match, they have alot of respect for each other and could be billed as the final attitude era match ever.

cm punk. a year from now, austin is billed on a show to promote a subject, he does that, and at the very end(this show has to take place in chicago for maximum effect) austin says there is one son of a ***** i came to chicago looking for, drops the mic and leaves

I'm also meh on it. Don't want to see him hurt himself - his injury was pretty finite.

weren't there rumors that austin wanted to work punk, when he was really hot, but WWE wanted to do an angle with triple h instead?

luckily austin controls all the cards, if he wants a match, you can be sure WWE will give him whoever he wants if for nothing else than to sell network subscriptions

So long as it's not Cena.

And yeah, Austin said that if he were to come back for one match, Punk would be the guy.

How could you not be a SCSA Fan? Are you a straight edge nun or something?

Austin vs Sting can also be a thing if Sting is around after his match with taker / HHH or if either of those never happen austin would be a prime candidate for WM 32.

If its against punk, I would **** bricks if they had a RAW in chicago. I would book it something like this.

Austin shows up at a RAW in chicago. He cuts little promos all night that hint at punk but stay somewhat vague to the casual fan's eye. This way the suspense keeps getting built up from the fan's perspective. Closing the show Austin cuts a promo in the ring and says if you don't show up i'm gonna have to challenge your woman instead. AJ comes out and starts ranting on austin (while keeping this persons indentity technically "hidden" even if its obvious) At this point the crowd is mercilously chanting "CM Punk CM Punk" and Austin replies to each one with WHAT?

"If you wanna see Stone Cold Steve Austin vs CM Punk gimme a hell yeah"
*Crowd chants hell yeah*
"and thats the bottom line cause stone cold said so" then Austin delivers a Stunner to AJ to enrage punk.
Even more CM Punk chants drown the arena at this point and Cult of Personality hits the titaron and everyone on HF loses their minds.

On a random site note. Austin's HOF Montage Music was Cult of Personality.

i am not convinced punk is done....i think he's done for atleast another 6 months to a year. i think by the time 32 rolls around he would atleast be open to the idea, because the austin match no matter where it is slotted will be viewed as the main event.

if it's not punk i think it's going to be cena, if you remember cena basically went on austins pod and put down the open challenge, without exactly saying the words

Unfortunately, because of last night's debacle, I'm feeling like they'll just feed him to Cena...

You wish WWE would come up with something half as good as this.

The minute an Austin vs Punk match would be announced, I'd buy a ticket to the PPV and book my hotel/flight to whereever the hell it was being held.
