That video reminded me how dirty his shot is. Best on the avs by far. His release and accuracy are insane.

I love the fact that he doesn't hesitate with the puck.

I luv mah Avs and I hope Mack knocks it out the park next year
but I point to his transition to C and Berra as my reasons we will be
wild card team next year. I think we squeak in.
But I could see NSH getting the last spot. Rinne man.

No way is it Nashville. Winnipeg will be much better than them.

Jets have the worst starting goalie in the NHL and will be terrible until they change that. I think the Preds will be the better team, much better.

Nashville has no offense. Fisher going down doesn't help and I don't think just adding Neal makes that much of a difference. They might not give up many goals but they can't score. I wouldn't be surprised if they went full tank for a draft pick. Winnipeg found an identity in the second half. Goal situation is still bad but I think they will be overall a better team. Like their D and offense. They started playing tough, gave us trouble each time we played them. Don't think they are a playoff team but they are better than Nashville. If y'all think Winnipeg is bad then Nashville is worse.

Oh I didnt know about Fisher. But I think having Rinne for a full year
and Laviolette is going to be a factor.

I do agree with WPG being tough. They are quietly one of the toughest teams to play against. But they lost Montoya who played solid for them, I think they lost Jokinen as well. They are probably
going to have Morrissey up this year so there is that rookie d business to deal with and Pavelec is just not the guy for them.

Preds probably aren't a good offensive team but I think they'll be better than they were. They've added Neal, Ribeiro, and Jokinen and should have Forsberg and Jarnkrok as regulars next season. Laviolette's offensive system is also much better than whatever Trotz was running and he'll still have Rinne, Weber, Josi, Jones, and Ekholm to fall back on defensively. IMO, the Jets have last place in the division locked up before the season even begins.

Nashville and jets look like lottery teams ... Vancouver as well.
Dallas looks to be much improved if they jell into a team. I don't thnk Chico as number one or two anymore, I think avs blues and mini fight for top spots. And Madmac? He certainly is a stunning player, high comete and his two way game should surprise people as he learns defense using his hands and speed.
Avs are poised for a big push this year.

Not looking forward to the day where MacKinnon is constantly headhunted for being able to play the game.

Landy and Him will form a formidable tandem.

Dude its already happening. It happened in the first game of the season.

, but yeah when I watch him skate I just think one day some
goon is gonna either hack at his ankle or pull a Marchment on his hip or something.
Its really unavoidable if your a top pick.

I think itís a scary good sign when MacKinnon could be the best player on our team next year, on a roster that already includes legit stars like Duchene, Landeskog, OíReilly and Varlamov. Iím going to wager that the sophomore slump doesnít affect him, and he exceeds most peopleís expectations with 43 goals, 49 assists for 92 points. Kid has the physical tools to walk all over this league.

When did he start going out with his current Disney movie girlfriend? I'd like to compare his numbers before and after...

I think they became an item when the team was in Anaheim last game of the season. Sooo considering his playoff performance it's likely a good thing.

This worries me. Duchene for the same reasons.

I suggested team penalty concept
Obviously people thought I was joking for affect. If Player intentionally tries to hurt another player it's a game misconduct immediately, no warnings. Team losses player for game and takes the rest of the game man down.

I think Landy is a pretty underrated playmaker around the league, I think they're both going to put up some pretty decent numbers, and look more dominant offensively and possess the puck more

Yup. No one really links all this back to his hands, but he has some of the best you'll ever see. There are softer hands, maybe even quicker hands, but "surer" hands are few and far between. Doesn't matter if the puck is rolling, bouncing, or in traffic, he always seems to be able to get a good piece of the puck AND direct it to the open part of the net he wants. Sick, sick hands coupled with hockey I.Q. and patience... I doubt we'll be talking about his sophomore year in terms of a "slump".
