RIP Dan Snyder. I'm sure Kasten and Waddell will make sure that his spirit will not be forgotten in Atlanta and retire his number to the rafters.

Reading all of you people's posts, it is clear to me that this loss is felt, on some level, by all of us. I am SO sorry for both families, and may Dan Snyder's early and unfortunate death serve as a gentle reminder that we all could go tomorrow. I feel sad for all the living family, and I feel sad in general...I am so sorry!

Sincere condolences to Dan Snyder's family. R.I.P. Dan...

My heart also goes out to the Thrashers organization and fans. It's a huge blow to the team. Hope the Thrashers keep the faith and get through what promises to be an emotionally tough season...

Yes, now you just hope that Dany doesn't do something stupid in light of this tragedy.

Rest in peace Danny. You lived your dream, it's just a shame that you couldn't continue it further into your life. My condolences to the Thrashers and the Snyder family.

I must admit that before last week's tragic events I did not know the name Dan Snyder. Now I know, I will never forget it.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Snyder family and I hope that in some way the sympathy shown on this board finds you some comfort.

I also hope that everyone who reads and posts on this thread learns something from this heartbreaking event and avoids a similar situation happening to your or someone else's family.
