Dave Taylor's Best Acquisition: Tim Gleason

To this day, the best trade Taylor ever made was acquiring Tim Gleason from the Sens for Bryan Smolinski. I bet a good majority of Sens fans would like to take that one back, and the only reason Gleason isn't talked about much is because of where he plays. He is going to be a top 3 defenseman for the Kings sooner than later.

I was actually shocked to see the Kings were able to pull off that trade, as there were some rumors that Smoke was headed to Colorado for Radim Vrbata (I'm glad that didn't happen and Vrbata ended up going to Carolina for Bates Battaglia).

Here is an image we will be seeing quite often for the next few years.

How dare Tim treat that poor, old, 80-year-old man like that!

Sorry, but she prefers younger men who lick ice cream cones (check the pic more closely).

Should I arm wrestle you for it, or should I take you down in a double leg and then slam you Matt Hughes style?

I just spent ten minutes searching for this story on Tim Gleason from Redline report's Kyle Woodlief from 2001.

It's a great article. Even though it says 'OBJECT NOT FOUND', it is there below. Also don't miss that the story continues below the top ten draftee ranking box.

That would me Mattias, the guitarist from Millencolin and his fiance. They are putting on a show in the city tommorow.

It looks like Hull is crapping in his depends as Gleason hits him.

So true!

Gleason was listed as 6'0" 186.

He's now 6'1" 220. I wonder if he's lost a little of his speed from the past, with the added bulk. He plays a pretty physical game, so the muscle and size was necessary.
His skating is still outstanding - its just that I've only seen him use an extra gear a few times.

I'm convinced that he's "just a friend." Notice how his arm closest to her is demurely stuck to his side. If he were more than a friend (or if he were Puckhead27), his arm would be all over her like Gleason is over Hull.

Using the word 'DEMURELY' on a hockey message board:

We're talking some serious extra points for using it.

However, I'm really not sure if it should be 'plus points', or 'minus points'

Maybe the guy in the blue shirt did get fresh with her. Because he looks like he has got some serious black eyes developing there. Either that or he thinks he's a football player.
