Quotable:

"Thank you for your support over the years I was there in LA. I truly love stepping on the ice there and playing. It was a lot of fun to play in front of the fans there at Staples Center, I will miss it and I want to thank them for all the memories." - Adam Deadmarsh to the fans of the Los Angeles Kings.

"It was funny. Lubomir Visnovsky came up to me during practice and said, 'Coach, Pavol, he's not a checker.' I said, 'I know Lubo, we're just doing something different.'" - Coach Andy Murray on putting Pavol Demitra on the "stopper" line

"He reminds me of Adam Deadmarsh. He's got speed and gets in the corners and battles." - Craig Conroy on Dustin Brown.

"We have the most talented team that we've ever had and the most talented front office that we've ever had and hopefully those ingredients will mean big things for our fans this year. ... Until we win a (Stanley) Cup here, our job is not done." - Tim Leiweke, Kings President

Injury Update:
  • Center Derek Armstrong, out with a concussion, underwent an NHL-required memory test Thursday and is not expected to return to the ice until next week. Armstrong said he would undergo more tests Monday or Tuesday. LA Times

damn, just a point out of the playoffs!

great gdt, they have become my best source of kings' info. anyone know if 710 is acutally going to broadcast the game at that time, or do we have to suffer through "angel talk" again?

I haven't checked every team's board. But from the ones I have checked I can say with reasonable certainty that our GDT threads are the best on these boards. Great job Lisa.

Hey LuckyLuc, thanks for the threads. It makes a huge difference! Where have you been the last 6-8 months on these boards. We could have used these kind of threads.

Good stuff, Marty......

It sounds like the usual suspects, except I don't recall hearing Turgeon's name and Hejduk is still injured, I think. Sakic is centering Brunette and a name I didn't recognize (a rookie?). Budaj is in goal.

Hejduk is going to be gone for like 4 or 5 more weeks.

As Cammalleri said in that TSN clip, JR dances to disco music in the locker room, so it's no surprise that he knew all of the words to the music, lol.

So far, JR's dance is the only interesting thing that's happened all game. At least he gave everyone who made the trek to Vegas something well worth the trip.
