HORRIBLE!!! My prayers go out to his family and friends. I hope Heatley can rebound from this. We don't need to loose another young player over this. Is there any word if the Thrashers are going to postpone the start of the season. I don't know how they would be able to think about hockey right now. I know when I play and someone just gets seriously hurt and taken off the ice I find it hard to concentrate on the Game. R.I.P Snyder, the hockey world will miss you.

Yes, terrible tragedy. I don't even know how long it will take the Thrashers to rebound from this. I really hope that Dany Heatley pulls through this, he has to do it not only for himself, but for Dan as well.

RIP Dan Snyder, my condolences to his family.

Dan Snyder's family told the Thrashers organization to start the regular season as usual. They play thursday night then on Friday they all fly to Ontario so the entire team can be at the funeral.

Truly a sad day in hockey. Dan Snyder will be in my memory and I wish his family the best after having such a tragic event take him so abruptly from them.
