BAM BOLD!!!
If Zetterberg can stay healthy all season long, And keeps on his torrid scoring pace that he's enjoying so far. I can definitely see this happening.

As for letters...

Nyquist will wear the C.

Glendening, Ouellet, and Larkin in the running for As.
I could see this happening as well, matter of fact, I really wouldn't call it a bold prediction. I think the majority feel this way.

I think it's what a majority feel they want to happen, but how many actually think it will? I know most of us are high on Mrazek, and rightfully so, but Howard's a legit NHL starter, and the Wings have invested a lot of time, money, and confidence into him. I certainly won't be the least bit surprised if Mrazek is an NHL backup for 4 years. Part of my prediction, frankly, is banking on Howard's play to precipitously fall off before his contract is up. If it doesn't, the Wings aren't going to throw him away just to get Mrazek into the starting role.

I'm on record in that thread ( or one of the 1/2 dozen Myers threads) saying I would not package Larkin for a 24 yr old reclamation project whose knees always seem to buckle under duress.

Who knows what could happen, the point is you can never gamble with goaltending. I still think signing Howard long-term was the right move. He was proven. I love, love Mrazek, but you never how he'll do until he gets to the big club. I suspect he'll spend next year and the year after as a back up. By that point Howard has two more years left on his deal with a reasonable cap hit. The Wings will have options to make trades if Mrazek is the real deal.

Over 100 points this season for the team. Not sure if it's bold, but its been a while, or it feels that way.

I'll make the boldest of predictions:
Cleary has played his last game as a Red Wing...

Now for some that are remotely possible:
Weiss returns to form
We become legitimate contenders again within the next 5 or so years

The Wings will be considered a cup contender by December. They will win their division and have a deep playoff run. I don't want to spoil the outcome though

Detroit will contend with Montréal for the top spot in the East and Babcock won't re-sign after this year, leaving with another Stanley Cup.

Ken Holland will make a quality free agent signing in the offseason. Now that's bold.

Too much positivity around here; allow me to inject a bit of cynicism:

For 2014/2015:

-The powerplay and early, easily preventable goals prove to be the Wings' Achilles heel
-Injuries occur at different times throughout the season, but not to the horrifying extent of last year. Key players are once again affected, slowing the pace of point accumulation by the team.
-Steven Weiss is traded at the deadline to a team that will utilize him; Wings get a 2015 1st round pick in return
-Detroit proves to be, again, one of 2 or three wildcard teams that are competing for the last playoff spot
-Toronto barely steals the spot from the Wings, having decided to finally get into season form in the final games of the season
-For the first time in 24 seasons, the Wings do not make the playoffs, and it isn't due to Injuries so much as a lack of scoring coupled with a lack of production from veteran players.

NOW for the bold prediction:

-At spot 14 of the draft lottery group, the Detroit Red Wings WIN the 2014 draft lottery, and draft Connor McDavid
-The team that traded their 1st round pick at the deadline doesn't make the playoffs, wins the second overall pick in the draft lottery, and the Red Wings draft Noah Hanifin
-Pandemonium ensues

My bold: Larkin and Mantha will be a Z and Pav type combo on a smaller scale
