Not as overrated as Minnesota. Considering Minnesota was pounded by Maine.

Kind of surprising BC was able to hold on to 1st place after getting beat 6-4 to a "lesser" team. If they had lost Saturday also, I'm sure they would have dropped a bit.

But it's pretty early in the season to worry about POLLS and ratings.

UNH is moving up because other teams are falling. Beating Merrimack and Vermont by a total of 7-1 is not what they should be doing. Not to knock the other programs, but if UNH were truly on their game, and truly the number 1 team in the nation they should have won each game 7-1.

ok... looking at that... i definitely sound like a homer, but it's true. after calling UNH games over the years you can see a team that clicks. UNH only has one line working well for them right now, and it's the only one scoring too. THE REDDING CONNECTION (Saviano-Collins-Martz) Best line in the nation. However, to be a number one team, you need more than one line, and UNH surely does not have that going for them yet.

WUNHSptsDir: Let me just add this....

Steve Saviano = one of the most underrated/underappreciated players in the NCAA. I saw this kid a ton last season and it truly amazed me how so many NCAA writers gave this guy so little credit for the contributions he made to UNH, especially when Lanny Gare went down with injury. Even now, when I read reports on UNH, they STILL don't give him the credit that he so deserves (when he does).
