I believe they play the Nationals, I think they locked up a playoff spot around the All Star Break.

Send a message via MSN to The Mars Volchenkov
I think Clemens, Pettite, and Oswalt could carry the Astros to the World Series.

The Cardinals will be too much for them.

If the Padres even want to have a prayer, Jake Peavy needs to win twice.

1-0 Cards, mid-3rd.

I believe it was Edmonds with a solo shot in the first.

Yup. Honestly I would be shocked if San Diego even won a game in this series.

How's 8-0 strike you, Tuggy?

Sanders grand slam just showed Peavy the door.

Well I certainly expected the Padres to lose but...

This will just give the Cards more opportunity to rest some guys.

St. Louis is going to make quick work of the Padres.

It'll be good for them if the Astros and Braves drags out so they can rest their pitchers.

Whoa....Konerko JUST missed a 3-run jack.

But he gets an RBI FC, 1-0 White Sox.

Yeah, it sounds like Clement is doing everything he can to get the White Sox around the bases.

I think he has his Sox mixed up.

It only took an inning for Rick Sutcliffe to say something completely absurd. Yes, it was Scott Posednik getting on base to start the game that "distracted" Clement and resulted in the HR.

Nevermind the fact that he was sitting on the bench when the HR was hit.

The over-under on that was 34.5 seconds, so he's improving.

I feel fortunate that I will not be watching any of today's action on the set. Most announcers, particularly "color" men, are dreadful. Sutcliffe, actually, is probably a nose behind Morgan and McCarver. Their statements are so arbitrary and baseless that it's hard to know where to start. You'd think that these guys, when exposed to information that suggests that what they've always believed is not entirely true, would turn a curious ear and listen. But such is not the case, nor does there exist motivation to change. Joe Morgan, for example, really thinks he is smarter than the average bear. He looks, smells, and sounds pompous.
