I picked probably the worst possible time to start following the Flames, in the 1994 playoffs. Its been downhill ever since, but it looks like there might be light at the end of the tunnel.
Favourite Flame?
Gotta be Daymond Langkow, who was my favourite NHLer before he got dealt here, coming in a close second is Jordan Leopold.
Favourite Flame Prospect?
Definetaly Aki Seitsonen, but Jimmy Spratt is gaining quick.

1988 there was some Hockey on TV, the year after the Winter Olympics and I started getting into hockey and especialyl the Flames.

Matt Lombardi, was exciting when we drafted him, and now he's paying dividends. I thought he'd do well back then, seems I was right . I also like Steve Montador!

I'm going out on a limb and saying Matic Kralj just because i've been asking questions about him lately...and he's from Slovenija of course, damn I wish we got Kopitar!

In April of 1989, my mother went on vacation to Hawaii and I stayed with some family friends. They watched hockey every night, and I chose the Flames as "my" team since I was born there. Fortune smiled and they won it all. I started following the league seriously in about 1992.
Favourite Flame: Tough call. Chuck Kobasew I guess. Or Miikka Kiprusoff.

Favorite Prospect: is Phaneuf still considered a prospect? gonna get a little controversial here, but the future will eventually show that the Craig Button draft record really wasn't that bad. Since then, it's been a crap shoot. Then again, aren't they all? Yes, there's some wishful thinking, but the early round Sutter selections (with the notable exception of Phaneuf) have been project picks.
The connection with HF all came about from a Google search over draft weekend. Much has happened since then, but "the good old days" are definitely missed.
Memorable fan moment: in a relatively intimate situation with a lady friend in Ottawa on a wintery Saturday night, while trying to catch a glimpse of the Blackhawks-Flames game on HNiC. Jeff Shantz was centering the top line with Val Bure on the RW. Looking back, the priorities weren't exactly in order.

I was riased in Edmonton Oiler territory, so all I could do is watch the Flames games on Hockey Night in Canada, I remember the first game it was against my Uncles favorite team - Montreal, at that time the Flames were in Atlanta - but I loved the banging the Flames were doing and it stuck as my favorites style of hockey - Power forwards.
Favorite Flames Moment: Being in northern Alberta and finally getting my chance to rub it into all my oiler friends as Lanny Hoisted the cup - and to make it even better, to reap revenge on my Montreal Canadiens fan uncles face... Oh how lovely it was seeing my all-time favorite Flame hoist Lord Stanleys cup in Montreal!!! Must say though Theo Fleury's historic slide as he scored that playoff goal was also very high ranking - lol
