Interesting mix for the Avs...several megastars and some unknown rookies. I can't believe Jim Cummins found a team to latch onto. Heck, Claude Lemieux is available again...why haven't they given him a call? They'll be interesting follow this year for sure.

I'm certainly not handing them or the Wings the Cup right now because they have some question marks. I say the Senators are the most stable going into the season, although they have Havlat holding out.

Let's just say the Wild have a lot of playmakers and no finishers.

Wonder where Daigle is on their lineup?

Found it, 4th line.

should vasicek not be centering the third line?.. shifting murray to left wing on the fourth line, svoboda to the right wing on the fourth line, and using kevyin adams as the fourth line center ?...

or when boulerice dresses, craig adams out, svoboda back with vasicek/vrbata ?...

Due to the lack of left wingers on the team Vasicek has been moved to the left side of Brind'Amour and has been impressive. Adams and Adams were going to be on the third line no matter what and adding a scorer in Vrbata will in theory add some scoring to the relentless fore checking of the Adams family. Murray has been bumped down to center of the fourth line and svoboda may play right wing but he will play on the fourth with either Boulerice or Daniels. Since Staal has been penciled in as the #1 center it threw the lines off and I don't necessarily agree with them but these are the lines used in practice and preseason games.

As a Blues fan, I never get tired of seeing that part of the current Wings roster. That is just entertainment, pure and simple.

I am actually excited about Vasicek being a winger on Brind'Amour's line. In the preseason it was apparent that Brind'Amour wouldn't let him take shifts off by giving Vasicek a quick little slash on his leg and a few words after he had given less than full effort. As a center he was more prone to slack off for long stretches of play.

And I don't expect a deal for a LW, we have enough players that can play LW for now with Francis and Vasicek moving over.

Canucks

Naslund-Morrison-Bertuzzi
D.Sedin-H.Sedin-King
Cooke-Chubarov-Linden
Arvedson-Lindgren-May/Ruutu

Ohlund-Sopel
Malik-Jovanovski
Allen/Slegr-Salo

Cloutier
Hedberg

Although Crawford will likely have Jovo and Ohlund play alot together and may elect to move Linden to center and play Arvedson with Cooke and Linden at times.
