Problem is that there aren't any takers for him. He's way overpaid and his defensive short-comings are no where near as acceptable as they used to be. If anything the lack of clutching and grabbing should benefit him because he's a panzy, but so far it hasn't.

I think we're stuck with him for now.

I think Ortmeyer is a good example of someone who hustles, hits and agitates but doesnt find himself sent to the penalty box over and over. There's a middle ground, I think Hollweg just needs to find it.

Yes, Johnny

I agree with you in regards to Ortmeyer. The thing about Hollweg is that he's young and as I've said before only with experience is he going to learn how to become an efficient pest. Know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em son!

Did I not also warn about his charging penalties! Herr Dokktor Dokktor!

Yeah Poti and Lundmark are being shopped (i also mentioned California teams) before this thread and the Ducks/Sharks one came up.

They are still talking, but whether something comes of it we'll see.

I spoke to Code and asked him if he thought the chance of Poti being dealt within the week was relatively high or low he said it was 'high'. So let's all hope he knows what he's talking about.

He claims to be an insider, I don't know what that means, but he has been wrong on occassion and right on occasion. I take what he says with a grain of salt, but if Poti does get dealt this week it lends credibility to him and the other insiders he claims to know.

If this true we should all sign a thank you card for Mr. Wilson or Mr. Burke.

If he goes to SJ I could see us getting back on of their scrub AHL caliber defenseman like Stafford or Fahey.

If he was an insider you'd know about him. He's nothing but an internet surfer who looks at the same information as you or me and claims it as "inside stuff." When you guess a thousand trades, sooner or later you'll be right and people start falling for it. He's advertising and making money for *************, a scam site.

Speaking from experience the problem is that when you have insider information things change very quickly.

Sometimes you look like a champ and other times you end up looking like a chump.

I dont know what contacts he does or does not have, but I can confirm that there have been "Talks".

Whether or not anything happens remains to be seen.

This is one of the things I like about you Edge. You give it to us straight, without trying to show off about how you know anything and everything that's going on.

It makes perfect sense to me that there can be trade talks without a trade ever going down. What gets me are these people who say things like, "It will be Lundmark, Lampman, and Poti for Boynton. My inside sources confirm this." The inside sources don't know for sure what will happen. They just know, at best, that something's been discussed and/or that there is a credible offer.

Well I try to keep it real, when I dont know something I'll tell you.

Like I honestly couldn't tell you who is mentioned on the other end and what combination might be thrown together.

I am trying to work on SJ connection because I know quite a few people over there (nearly worked for them).

I will say that this happened before Lundmark and Poti were scratched and part of their being scratched was not just because of effort.

The difference is, Code is charging people for his false information. The administrator of ************* admitted to creating a million identities, causing trouble and stealing members from other hockey sites like this one. That's how his site got so popular. I wouldn't be surprised if Code is just another one of his identities.

Just to report more of that supposed information....

Lundmark + player to be named to Oilers for Hemsky is near completion

Nashville also looking to swap Lundmark for Upshall

Nothing new on Poti

This is from the same source, so take with some salt as I said before, but just thought people would want to read it regardless.

Last week the same source (Code) said the Oilers and Rangers were working on a Torres for Lundmark trade...

Actually, I believe it said that the Oilers were interested in Lundmark and the Rangers asked for Torres. Not that the a Torres for Lundmark deal was going to happen. There's a difference. It's still a source that should be taken with a grain of salt.
