Oh well I would have had to miss the third period anyway because I got hockey.

Therien out with back spasms. Wade Skolney to take his place.

Seidenberg should return on Friday.

The Flyers better be ready to score because the Leafs have been doing that recently. Hopefully they can exploit what has been a weak Toronto defense thus far, and they looked real bad against Ottawa last night.

I actually wouldn't be opposed to dressing only 5 defensemen, since they have 2 days off anyways, and a whole week off after Saturday.

The d-pairs I would use are:

Desjardins-Pitkanen
Johnsson-Jones
Rathje-Skolney

Esche better be on the top of his game though

Worse than Bundy??? One really has to dig into the AHL for that to happen. Does this mean our D is really that thin? No Hatcher, Seidenberg, Therien and Jones.

Skolney takes a lot of stupid penalties, but we're backed against a wall here, unless someone wants to to volunteer to be a defenseman again.

Well we're currently missing;

Hatcher - (can be considered anywhere from #1-#5)
Seidenberg - 6
Therien - 7
Meyer - 8

I must not be up on my nicknames. Who the heck is Bundy?

As for Skolney, I have yet to be impressed with him at the AHL level, let alone do I think he can play at the NHL level.

The outcome of this game will be determined by which Leaf defenseman has the customary pre-game labotomy.

So far it's been Aki Berg each game this year.

McCabe usually takes the reigns when they play the Flyers though.

I think this game is going to be close, and the difference will be that the Leafs are without Sundin.

Man I'm glad that both Therien AND Skonley aren't in. Between Therien, Skonley, Berg, and McCabe we could have "Retards on Ice" brought to you by the NHL.

I disagree. Jones didn't look great, but at the same time he wasn't terrible. It's not like he took two penalties on which the Devils scored.

Should be a good game tonight, i think my Leafs will come out flying at home looking to win their first of the year. However, the key will be the ability of the Leafs defence (both upfront and on the blueline) to hold the fort to some extent, although im not going to hold my breath

Keith Primeau, captain of the Flyers and a Toronto native, likely will draw the checking assignment against Lindros. He said the 32-year-old center is still difficult to cover.
It looks like Primes is going to get shut-down detail on Eric Lindros. I wouldn't have it any other way. Knock down Lindros and Forsberg will have all day to walk over the Leafs defence.

I agree, i think Prims will contain the big E, and Forsberg's line will be dancing all night. Any word who Carter will be playing with?

The leafs have played 3/4 nights and BB, but they are a hungry club...this isn't going to be a cakewalk.

I can see us having an advantage over thier weak defense...I have watched 2 Leaf games and besides Kaberle and Mccabe thier defense has looked horrible. I hope Esche brings his a game because I can see this being a high scoring duel.

Does anyone think a Flyer will take a run at Tucker for his hit on Kappy in the 04 playoffs?

My prediction

Flyers - 5
Leafs - 3
