I didn't found any information about Samsonov's injury, any link?
Samsonov on his injuries:

It's premature to tell anything about Kamenev. Who knows how his season will unfold. He might be available.

I had read those news about Samsonov, but the link says that he had some injuries at the time of Combine, wonder how serious it is then, if he misses the camp in August because of it.

About Kamenev, we, of course, can't tell anything at this moment, but he has already signed with Nashville and it was stated that he will start at the AHL, so I don't see any possibility of him playing at SSS, hopeful for the WJC though.

Samsonov will start the season in the KHL. Probably better for him to be 100% healthy.

About the absence of Lazarev, Pilipenko and Vovchenko, I somehow don't really think it is a good sign for them, even though Bragin commented about them. I think for them it is the same as with Tkachev last year: either they look very good at SSS or they're out.

About Sharipzyanov, he is trying to earn NHL contract with LAK, so he needs to be healthy and in a good shape for September.

Vovchenko doesn't impress on nt level for a while, I think he is in danger. Pilipenko is also a tiny player...I agree.

We should remember last year: 2014 camp was a place where team's core was built, so if we are thinking the same about this year, then Dergachyov's presence looks logical. Those CHL-ers who aren't there will be given another chance at SSS, but they need to stood out there (in 2014 Provorov made it, Scherbak didn't). For Russian-based guys there will be also 4 Nations Tournament, but again, they need to show something special there. Kamenev, Provorov and Sharipzyanov are exceptions though, as they will be having a busy September, so there is no need to call them up.

Why exactly? Because of his draft position? He's a big guy, but he's no Malkin. Bragin could easily still have questions about him.

Also there is an interesting interview (link) with Bragin, he mentions some interesting things:
  • Kaprizov just recovered from injury, Samsonov is preparing for the KHL season, that's why they're out.
  • Vovchenko, Lazarev, Boltanov, Nikolishin, Zhelezkov, Krasotkin are "in reserve".
  • Kamenev and Pilipenko are well known to Bragin, they don't need the camp (iirc, they are injured now).
  • Looks like Bragin thinks that Provorov will make the Flyers roster, so he doesn't count on him currently.
  • And what looks most interesting to me is that Bragin has mentioned that he doesn't really count on younger players this year, I didn't really understood if he also meant that about Guryanov and Samsonov though.

He also mentioned that there is a lot of competition for the forward spots, so guys "in reserve" do have a slight chance, but in general people shouldn't get their panties in a bunch over some forwards that won't make the SSS or the WJC roster. The overall level at F is quite high. Not making the that team doesn't mean a guy is done. They are juniors too. Some might still make a jump in development and overtake some guys from the WJC roster.

On the other hand Bragin said it's very different with the D(as usual). That means he's counting on Provorov and he explicitly said so. Whether Provorov makes the Flyers is beyond his reach, but I don't actually think Provorov will be in the NHL come December.

Guryanov is a top line player on this roster. I don't understand where you get your worries about him from. And Samsonov should be on the roster in December too if he stays healthy. As for others, this a pretty even age group. It's hard for younger guys to push somebody off the roster here unless the talent level is of Guryanov's caliber.

The most intriguing story for the future rosters might be how early Andrei Svechnikov makes the jump to the U18 and U20 respectively as an underager.

Ouch, that defense isn't impressive. Wouldn't mind seeing Nazarkin or Khalikov or maybe young Sergachyov on the roster.

Nazarkin's absence could use an explanation.

Dervuk named as captain, looks like Bragin has trust in him.

Lauta-Kraskovsky-Korshkov line looks like a good combination for a 2-nd line so far.

I know you don't like Nazarkin and had similar concerns about Rykov. However Bragin appears to like Rykov and not Nazarkin.

I actually liked Nazarkin, but was extremely dissapointed in him at the end of last season. And I didn't have similar concerns about Rykov - I never called him lazy, but rather was doubting his defensive awareness. But anyway, that smells like OT.

Ah, sorry. I thought you meant he wasn't applying himself physically.

You mean the U20 game - Russia vs. Canada? We ended up winning 3-2 on an overtime goal, but I have no idea where to watch these games, plus I haven't found any highlight videos.
