Steve Sullivan leads NHL in points

I know it's early but it's the first time we've ever had a points leader....

the guy still gets no respect. Do you think team Canada is gonna call him up for the olympics? Prolly not.

not a chance... its too bad really, Sullivan has a wicked nose for the net.

Canada is so so so deep at wings..its basically impossible unless he torches up the NHL.

I think moreso than Kariya, Sullivan seems to bring a calming influence over the team. He's always laughing\hamming it up with everyone on the bench, he's the first to dash in and tackle whomever just scored the goal if he's on the ice. I think his leadership and status as a "team guy" is what got him locked up long term, and wouldn't be a bad choice as at least an alternate captain, whenever one becomes available.

and to think we have this guy for the next 4 years...what a smart move by poile to tie him up for this long.. god i just wished we had signed kariya for 3 or 4..

with our youth stars coming up(weber, radulov), and all these rfa young guys we should lock up for the next 3-4 years after the season is over(erat,harts,leggy,hall)..and the age of our established players(walks, kimmo, sully, kariya) you would think the 'window of opportunity' we have is really the next 4 years.. just wish we knew for sure we had kariya to plan on during all 3-4 years.. and of course vokoun
