If Sully stays healthy, he might be going to his first All-Star game

The "new NHL" has definitely been a boom for the small, skilled player as well as the bigger but gifted skaters like Hartnell and Hall. I'm loving spins, sharp turns used by Sully and Kariya to maintain puck possession in the offensive zones, which leads to scoring opportunities. Prior to this year, that same spin move would see the defensive player grabbing Sully's arm/shoulder and that would be the end of the possession - scoring opportunities.

Sully, Kariya, Hamhuis, Vokoun to the All-star game based on current (and projected - Kariya/Vokoun) performances!!

I don't think there will be an All-Star game this season, hence my previous wink. Last I heard, Bettman decided to cancel it this season in favor of the Olympics. It'd be nice if they still announced a team (voted by the players/coaches/GM's) though.

Correct, and I agree with you.

Indeed, as a Red Wings fan, I'm very impressed with the Preds so far. They showed a lot of promise in the 03-04 playoffs, and I'm glad it's continuing to show. We need a new rivalry

since it doesn't seem like the blues will be offering up much in the way of rivalry?

That and since the Avs don't have anyone on their team, with the exception of maybe Dan Hinote to hate.

St. Louis has been our ***** for too long, time to move on to a worthy opponent
