The Rangers have inquired about Wild bruiser Andrei Nazarov. . . .
I don't know about you but if the Wild get anything from the Rangers for Nazarov, even a draft pick, I'll be delighted. The guy has been constantly scratched, lost out to Boogaard and from reports from one of our guys came into camp uninterested and out of shape...Have fun!
Agreed. Nazarov = worthless on this team. Of course everyone knows that I'm anti-goon
Ditto. Fights can be good when they're two REAL players who've gotten into a heated exchange and it escalates, but as far as I'm concerned, people who go to the game looking for a fight aren't real hockey fans. Just like players whose only real skill is fighting aren't real hockey players.
Frankly, I hated Tie Domi as a Ranger - it was only when he moved on to Toronto and developed into an actual player that I came to appreciate him. [Let the hate thread begin...]
Wild have been having consistancy problems but have had some injuries to deal with. White, Gaborik, and Koivu all went down. We're going okay. Defensemen could pick it up, some of them, but other than that, we've looked okay...Better than what most people claim us to be...
Nazarov is not good. He's certainly not worth Lundmark. I have the feeling that Jamie will never be a good player here. He needs a fresh enviroment if he's ever going to be a player. We should get better than this. Nazarov is big and likes to fight but that's about it. We'd might as well have kept Purinton around. There is no spot in our lineup for him.
Oh Hell No...they are our kids......they are our future Rangers. (cept maybe Lundmark)
I got this from one of the papers:
Rangers F Jamie Lundmark was scratched for the third time in four games and Renney said Lundmark will remain out of lineup indefinitely. "Jamie's going to have to keep working hard in practice and prepare for that opportunity to get back in the lineup," the coach said.... The team is off today.
I love hockey fights, but the ones I love the most is after guys were fighting hard and things escalated - I love to see passion in hockey games. A guy with no skill other than going out and fighting, while playing 3 minutes per game, I really don't have much interest. I liked Domi as a Ranger from the get-go, however...I was about 15 years younger too, but I believe, as you mention, that he became a very useful player along the way and is a valuable asset because of his versatility in his roles.
