GDT: Nashville @ STL (Game 5) 10/15 7:00 CST

Our first of thirty-two divisional games and the first of a home and away with the blues. As far as injuries/probable lineups, Tkachuk is probable, Jackman played last game, Ryan Johnson is doubtful, Boguniecki is out. Nichol, Allison both still carried as day to day, neither has been played on injured reserve, but both probably doubtful for this one.

For the blues Cajanek leads so far with 6 pts, young, meyers, mcammond each with 2 goals. Erik Brewer is a -6. So far, Blues pp is ranked 8th(19.3%), their pk is 22nd(79.1%). Overall they're 7th in scoring(3.5), but 27th in goals allowed (4.0). Good faceoff team, 6th highest thus far(53.2%). Here early, the Blues are last in the league in average shots per game (22.2).

Sullivan now in a 5-way tie for scoring leader in league. Hall league leader in faceoffs, Perreault 3rd, Johnson 7th. MINN passed us for the league best pp % last night, we're now 2nd, pk% fell to 9th best. Remain first in faceoff %

Should be an entertaining one. With 8 games coming against this team, you want to show them you're going to be tough. I expect a rested Vokoun to be strong tonight.

wow ... Drury, when the preds finally lose one and i don't have to start game day threads (out of pure superstition of course), you're in charge of the next GDT..

No problem, I wasn't trying to steal your GDT, I just thought I'd add a little flair to it.

I do it on the B's board, and wanted to share over here, cuz everyone over there likes it.

God I hate the Blues. I really really hate the Blues, did I mention how much I hate the Blues?

Oh crap, I forgot to set the TiVo to record the game (i'm in class all day today then have to go to work). Hopefully I can race home before I have to go to work to record it.

Alot less to hate without Pronger and Low.....

What I hate is when the Blues fans invade the GEC....dedicated, loud, and generally a fun group...but a few very obnoxious fans that tend to overshadow the rest have been my experience.

I hope we don't take them for granted...I gotta feeling we struggle at the Savvis Center tonight..here's to proving me wrong Preds

Beyond a terrible call on Legwand. Let's hope that mistake doesn't cost us.

What's the use of chaps if you're going to ride bare arse?

Predators shorthanded. Time for Greg Johnson to score.

Anyhoo...

Blues are playing cheap. Final got called on Mayers going after Vokoun. He tried to hit him as much as possible without making a call. Good for the ref. There's not point to skate in on Vokoun like that to create contact.

Hopefully the refs begin to crack down on the away from the play obstruction by St. Louis Dmen.

It would figure that a cheap play by Mayers would result in a goal for the Blues. Funny how those things work out.

Perreault got beat on that one. He didn't skate hard enough. If that's any other Pred, it probably gets broken up.

Is it just me or does Legwand play his game with contact avoidance as his primary purpose. It seems like every move that he makes involves avoding any contact.

God bless what a pass by Suter to set up that penalty. I don't know if Jackman is rusty or if he's just having trouble with the speed of the new game. He seems a step slow out there.

Hartnell and Legwand are both having great games tonight. Both with goals, shots, and chances.

That chance by Hall that was an inch from going in was a direct result of Legwands non-physical backchecking.

There's a difference between banging bodies and playing so that you avoid contact. When the puck is lose, he'll spin his body around and angle his stick to attempt to get the puck without being touched by the opposing player. It's one thing to do that when you are setting up a play. It's quite another when you are decreasing your chances of success to do it.

WE WIN!! STILL UNDEFEATED !!!!!

What a great win. I'm very happy seeing the way this team has come together thus far and is really proving they are a legit team, and shouldn't be overlooked anymore.

I just hope the Predators' first loss is a close game against a good team.
