Wild finally get Gaborik back which should be a huge boost. With our red hot PP and PK units, and our home ice advantage I say the Wild pull out a tough one in OT 3-2 Wild. GO WILD!!

Slight groin strain, so hopefully he will take it easy and wont rush back.

I went to a local watering hole to catch my first Wild action of the season tonight - only had time to see the second period, and well, I thought they looked like s#%t. Imagine my surprise upon seeing the final score. Note to self: get cable television tomorrow....

Great Wild game. The BOOGYMAN gets his first career goal and he dominates some guy in a fight. Gaborik gets 2 assists and Todd White gets another 3 point night, i really like this guy. I hope chouinard can keep this up the whole year, he gets another goal and earlyer he hit one off the crossbar. Fernandez played great again and has earned another start.

Yeah, some fight. The poor guy whose *** he kicked was defending his teammate after Boogard cheapshotted him with a crosscheck in the small of the back. This is the reason I didn't want this punk playing for us, and if that's what we can expect from him the rest of the season, he can pack his toy cars and go back to whatever cave he came from as far as I'm concerned.

Now the question is can they keep this momentum up on the road. Only two goals on the road so far, hopefully they produce better than that in St. louis and Chicago this weekend

Well, that's his own problem as far as I'm concerned. You are more than welcome to do the honorable thing and defend your teammate- but chances are, you are still getting your *** kicked. Just because he chose to protect his teammate doesn't mean that Boogie should back down and let him win the fight.

LOL, if you don't like Derek, that's fine. But nice double standard you have going on. #10 took a poke at Manny after the whistle was blown, that's why Derek is there. Watch the replay. Derek crosschecked him as he was defending his goaltender. You want your goalies to get cheapshotted, that's fine. Derek doesn't and he did what he needed to do.

Nice avatar, Arby

Oh, and I think you should really start growing some thick skin. People will now be dissing your brother on the daily basis here, don't let it get to you too much.

I'd rather have fresh, homegrown goon than damaged goods, like Moose and Nazarov, with their past crimes as baggage. Lemaire is probably the best coach Boogie has ever had, so who's to say he won't continue to improve. I find it amazing that he has equalled his career high in goals after just 5 games, in the NHL! If he could contribute something like 5 goals and 8 assists this season, I'm sold.

One question: does he hit? One thing Moose could do is mash people into the boards.

I am watching the replay right now, and nobody's taking any cheap shots at Manny. The Shark player took a swat at the puck in Manny's glove, which is legal until the whistle blows. Nothing cheap about it; just part of the game.

You guys are right - I don't like Boogard, for the same reason I couldn't stomach Johnson. He's got a history of despicable behavior, and I'm ashamed to see cheap-shot punks like that in a Wild uniform.

I don't understand this teenage fascination with sociopathic freaks of nature whose only marketable hockey-related skills are the ability to weigh 260 pounds and the ability to break someone's jaw while standing upright on a pair of hockey skates. If that's what you guys value in a hockey player, why don't you just watch "professional" wrestling? I prefer hockey players who can actually play hockey, and as long as no-talent thugs like Boogard are infesting this league, I'll be disliking them. (And please, don't anyone start braying about the goal he scored last night. Yes, it was a good goal, but even a blind squirrel is going to find an acorn if you leave him in the forest long enough. The guy's "talent" level is marginal even by AHL standards.)

I don't like the guy, and I doubt he's ever going to win me over. Because for every 5 decent games he has, for every 5 games in which he somehow makes it all the way to the final buzzer without comitting some crime or other, there's always going to be one game in which he's going to be crosschecking someone in the back or assaulting someone off the faceoff just because he's got a grudge against the guy from when they played in the minors. He's a punk. He's proven that at every level of hockey he's ever played at, and he's proving it already at this level. And it turns my stomach to see him do the only thing he's talented enough to do, which is be a vicious little hoodlum.

I'll post the replay for ya. They should have been coincidental minor's if anything. #10 poked at Manny after the whistle, Derek gave him a shot to the back. Davison came in to stick up for his team mate just like Derek did for Manny.
