I'm way too excited!! I already have the beer in the fridge ready to celebrate an Oilers victory! I'm just hoping to see Smytty play tommorrow night.. I have a feeling the Chimera - York - Hemsky line is going to be very impressive!

Smyth is supposedly centering the 2nd line.

Ya global said the the top 2 lines will be like most of us expected and be:
Chimera-York-Hemsky
Isbister-Smyth-Dvorak

They also said that Bergeron will play! Here we go...only 18 hours and 59 minutes!!!

Watch out for Sharks defenseman Christian Erhoff. That guy is incredible.

Might be a tough game. The Sharks seem to play well against the three Northern Canadian teams. I predict a very physical affair won by a 1 or 2 goal margin, no more.

Nice to finally see some spread out scoring. I wouldn't say either of these are a true 1st line, but they pack more punch then many other teams 2nd lines. Lets label them 1A and 1B for now . Could make the oilers a very difficult team to shut down and check. Who do you put your top defenders out against??? York's line with the blazing speed or Smyth's line with the size to shove around less then stellar defenders??? I think we will not miss Comrie's points, and we will score more goals this year then last year, anyone agree with me???

I don't think it is possible for the Oilers not to miss Comrie or the points he provides.. he's our number one center, of course we'll miss him. However, I do feel that the two lines we have in place for tommorrow night have a lot of firepower and if a couple guys overachieve (Isbister especially), it is possible we could score a lot of goals. I'm predicting a
4-1 Oilers win to start the season off with goals from Moreau, Hemsky, Chimera and Isbister I have a feeling Ethan is going to start of the year really strong again..

For me, it's the first time in a while that I feel comfortable about the scoring on the first 2 lines. If they play up to their potential, the Oilers should be ok. That being said, I would feel alot better having Comrie in the lineup or another offensive player.

I AM, I AM, I AM!!!
I'm SOOOO pumped for it - i can hardly handle sitting in this boring INFO PRO class rigth now!!! Our top six looks pretty damn solid to me - easily capable of equaling last years totals. BUT OH, MY GOD! Imagine if you took our Chimera, slid York over and inserted Comrie! We'd have SUCH GREAT lines! I think the Oilers will come out flying in the first and get a 1-0 lead. In the second the Oilers will score about 5 min. in, but that goal will be answered in the late second by S.J. (making it 2-1 Oil). Then in the third, about 3 min. in S.J.'s Damphousse will score a powerplay goal to tie it up and we'll all be like "here we go again!". but then with about 7 minutes left the Oilers will score. THey will add an empty net goal. Tha tis my guess for the game. I pick Hemsky, Reasoner, Isbister, and Torres will pick up goals.

Go OIL!

I am saying 3-2 oilers - Hemsky, Isbister, Smyth.

First star is Salo
