I think he got a bit comfortable with his position, and they're just reminding him that he has to push a little harder. I'm sure he'll be back on Saturday.

The one PK looked pretty good as well.. Bergeron had that one bad giveaway but has looked solid besides that. I think they'll come out a lot harder next period, they looked a little sluggish after sitting through the pre-game ceremony..

I thought so about the PK also.

Dvorak had a bad giveaway (game 1 thingee, I hope) but the Oilers recovered efficiently.

Nice to see Isbister playing with a bit of a chip.

Not a shooting gallery out there, but the Oilers seemed to have possession a great deal more than the Sharks in that period.

I'm brewing up a nice big cup of **** up with regard to Bergeron. Pinched in early in the 2nd, worked his butt off to get back, rubbed out the first round draft pick and settled things down.

No doubt. Working hard in his own end and he's had a couple of scoring opportunities too.

Horcoff scores!!!
from Laraque and Torres.

So who called Horcoff for the first one?

Looks like we'll need two big cups, Lowetide.

Nice job by Torres and Laraque...

Erhoff is going to need to learn you can't play defense on Laraque like that.

Is anyone else noticing that Raffi Torres is one of the best players on the ice tonight?

GREAT little behind the back between the legs pass off the wall to BG to set that whole goal up.

Nice.

I take a call, come back, and Horcoff has scored. Beautiful. I'm gonna take another one - let's see if they work their magic again!

Oh yeah. I like that little tap he did of the wall with the puck after he ran that guy over by the blueline boards the next shift.

Whew Torres looks amazing out there.. Laraque actually got that pass through on the 2on1 to Raffi! It was bouncing though and he couldn't quite get his stick on it.. I'm a little disapointed in the Isbister - Smyth - Dvorak line so far but I s'pose it's only the first game. So far, I'd definitely say Bergeron, Torres and Salo are the best players on the ice for the Oilers. That Erhoff looks pretty decent for San Jose however..

Are you talking about the Horcoff goal? Because Torrres put it between his legs along the boards over to Laraque who fought off Erhoff with one arm and shoveled it to Horc.

If your talking about the Torres play I touched on, the Shark defenceman was steamrolled by Torres and Raffi did a nifty play along the boards to gain possesion of the puck all in one motion.

Or else your talikng about another great Raffi moment that I missed out on.

He could be a gem.
