Zidlicky situation?

Hello,

Whatīs up with my favourite player? He hasnīt produced as much as I would have hoped. Havenīt seen any of his games this season, so can you tell me how Marek has been playing? (In Finland they show about 3 games a week live, but for some reason none of the games have been a Nashville game!?!)

Itīs funny. Your two best defensemen (???) played in my favourite team in Finland before going to NHL. Marek and Kimmo. Great players!

Marek Zidlicky may not be putting up as many points as usual at the moment, but his defensive game has improved dramatically. This makes him much less expendable, IMO. Before, he was pretty one-sided, and I'd have considered him available to other teams should the right trade have come along. Now, I'm not so sure.

Dan Hamhuis (22 years old) and rookie Ryan Suter (20 years old) have been overshadowing both Zidlicky and Kimmo Timonen. Hamhuis may be our best defenseman at the moment, and Suter hardly looks like a rookie. They're both playing amazing.

Anyhoo...

I echo these comments. zidlicky is a better all around player now. although, don't worry about his offensive game. he still looks good.

One need only look at Z's shootout goal the other night to see the guy still has skills!

his "how-do-you-do!" wave to the crowd really capped it off!

I thought it was the "homerun" signal that umps give in MLB?

i went with the "round 'em up" call - as in, time to go home.

Zidlicky, who speaks little English and is nicknamed "Z" by his teammates and coaches, had the perfect expression to summarize shootouts.

"As Z said it to us, he says, "I score the goal, we win, and everybody can go home now,'" Trotz said.
