I was looking at the Preds Schedule....

Holy CRAP!!

In the month of October:
12th Nashville at Colorado
13th Nashville at Phoenix
15th Nashville at St. Louis
20th St. Louis at Nashville
22nd San Jose at Nashville
25th Chicago at Nashville
26th Nashville at Columbus
29th Edmonton at Nashville

There is no excuse for not being 6-0 when San Jose comes to town.

I think the Preds are going to be my new second favourite team.

I want to get Centre Ice just to be able to watch them!

easy tiger...after what I saw last night, a win at colorado is hardly a lock.

Also, we haven't seen how this team does on the road yet. Maybe the Preds are going to be a team that plays well at home and struggles on the road. Maybe it'll be the opposite. The Preds have been arguably better than the Blackhawks for about 2 out of the past 3 seasons, but they own us. Maybe the Blues finish last in the central, yet they own us and win those two games. Maybe the Preds win the division but Phoenix has our number and sweeps the season series.

Like most teams, the Preds certainly haven't defined themselves enough yet to have "no excuse" to not go 4-0 with 3 road games in their first road trip.

with that said, last night's colorado-calgary game was about the best case scenario for Nashville from the "avalanche getting it out of their system" standpoint.

a 3-1 trip and a 5-1 start would be incredible, but i have a hard time expecting that until I see them play more.

No excuse? While we might be better than all those teams, though I am not convinced we are, you can't win them all. If you could, some of the powerhouses of years past would have gone close to undefeated. I certainly like our chances with all those teams, but on any given night, we can be beaten by any team in the league.

We are a very young team. Our second D pairing averages 21 years old and less than a year of NHL experience. Our first line has two 25 and under players, ditto with our third line. With youth comes certain levels of inconsistency. We are going to play bad games, games where our determination and focus is not there. We aren't likely to win those games.

Aint it nice to be downplaying two early seaason WINS! I don't think the preds will go 6-0. I'd be VERY happy with one or two road wins this early!

I'd think getting 3 points in the next 3 games would be a good deal.

I agree, though one could argue that we played pretty poorly in our first two games in some elements and still came away with 2 wins.

Yes, but our team youngsters are truly fire. They even beat flames.

But i don't think this game will be 5-0 or something like that, i guess close game 2-3 or 3-2 etc.

Well I hope you guys learned your lesson.

Now that Nashville is one of the top teams in the league, you need to learn to be overconfident in its abilities.

As a Leaf fan, I'm more than happy to take you guys under my wing and show you how to make rediculous predictions about your teams success.

So from now on follow my lead when I make brazen predictions about your team, mmkay?

I thought we were going to trade Jamie Allison to Calgary for Jesus and pair him with Suter so Suter can learn a few things and maybe develop more quickly...
