I would be agree by 100 miles...

But I thing it's just a proposal YOU made. Am I right!

If not.... go go go!

Even if Koivu is not a sure thing his upside is a way over Hossa's.

Montreal would be crazy not to do this deal, but it won't happen

Minnesota would NOT make that trade unless we added something else to sweeten the deal. Mikko is one of the highest touted prospects out there right now, and no disrespect to Hossa but I don't think value wise the Wild would be interested.

It's rather obvious (no offense) that this proposal was made just cause Mikko is Saku's brother....and either way I wouldn't do this deal, I think Hossa's upside is higher, maybe not by a great deal, but higher.

That's the kind of comments that makes other team fan thinking we are the biggest hommer on earth!!!

Dont forget Hossa and Gaborik are best friends, maybe Gaborik could talk management into the trade.

I don't think Gaborik and management are on the best of terms right now. That would be an interesting ploy though. "Trade Mikko for Marcel, and I'll sign for $800K."

I don't know if you were saying that i'm a homer, but the reason I said that is, I don't get the point of that proposal, why trade Hossa, who has played about 40 NHL games and he's shown potential just not consistency yet, for Mikko Koivu, who hasn't played 1 NHL micro second, and had an up and down career in Finland. The only reasoning behind this is because we would want to unite Saku and Mikko because there brothers and not based on his skills, we don't need any fantasy league GM's! again no offense

First, he'll have to talk management into a contract!

As for the proposal. You very rarely see one for one trades for prospects (who still have potential and aren't turning into busts). I don't see any reason for either team to do this. Add some pieces to both sides and make it a bigger deal then you never know.

And after Minnesota will trade Marcel Hossa to Ottawa for...is a Wild player has any brother in the Sens?

Seriously, I think that even if Marcel isn't a "Koivu", he is better(a bit) than Mikko.

I believe Saku said that he wouldn't want to play with Mikko, as it would mean that Mikko would have to live in his own brother's shadow. He wants his younger brother to start with a "clean slate", so to speak.

Did Saku really say this?? That's pretty embarrassing. I like Saku and all and think he's a really good player, but it's not like he casts a huge shadow. It's not like Saku is to Mikko what Wayne was to Keith or Pavel was to Val.

yes it's true...he said that...but what he really want to say was that he didn't want his brother to be compared to him...they don't play the same type of game, and if Mikko dosn't perform well, with the MTL media, saku would be embarassed...

Thanks for the confirmation. But I guess this is moot anyway, as I don't see this proposal going down.
