Try the Charlotte Checkers website. Here is the news clipping on their first game a 1-0 shootout win with Glass apparently spectacular in nets.

http://www.gocheckers.com/fullstory.php?id=341

"Spectacular goaltending from 19-year old rookie Jeff Glass in his first professional start gave the Checkers a 1-0 shootout win Friday night over Gwinnett in Charlotte’s regular season opener. Under contract to the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators, Glass shut out the Gladiators for 65 minutes making 40 saves, including numerous “highlight reel” stops."

Yeah, I saw that just shortly after I made my post. Thank you.

Do you think he will be called up anytime soon to Binghampton?

Not unless Thompson or Guard get hurt. I'd rather see him get some confidence back playing in the ECHL after the terrible training camp he had. He will probably be the starting goalie for Bingo next year.

He might get a shot sooner than expected. The goalies in Binghamton have struggled early on.

DULUTH, Ga. - Jeff Glass in all likelihood will remember his first professional game. Charlotte's rookie goaltender stopped all 40 Gwinnett shots Friday night in a season-opening 1-0 ECHL shoot-out victory.

In the shoot-out, Dusty Jamieson found the net, but he won't get credit for a goal.

"We did a real good job killing penalties," coach, former NHL goalie Derek Wilkinson said. "Jeff Glass was phenomenal in his first pro game. It was a good character test."

The Gladiators had two-man advantages twice -- late the second and third periods -- and came away empty.

Charlotte will play at 7 tonight at Greenville. Another rookie goaltender, Bernd Bruckler, who was on loan to Hartford of the American Hockey League, will start tonight.

"Our concern was how our rookie goalies would start off," he said. "We didn't know how long it would take them to settle in."

Thompson gave up 9 goals in his first 2 games and Guard is playing tonight and has given up 4 goals...in 1 period so far.
