This has been one of Cloutier's weaknesses, IMO, as he has usually been slow kicking off his posts to challenge a shooter out high.
I remember he used to do this too much (and one Chris Drury incident is forever burned in my mind); I think he is picking his spots better now. He's looking pretty solid, other than that little boo-boo.

I still get uncomfortable watching paddle-down goalies though.. man, it looks awkward. You look so dumb, down on the ice like that, when the puck rises over your shoulder.

It's yours. Didn't suit me well anyway. Beer number six, down the hatch!

I played like this and continue to do so.

In tight scrambles in front of the net, when you're a tall goalie(I'm 6'1"), doing this can prove very effective. If you just don't drop the shoulder too much and keep your chest square, you take away everything down low and simply need to rely on your glove and blocker for shots up high. It's a terrible tactic to use from out far, but in close, it's great.

My girlfriend just walked by the TV and they were showing the Ed Jovanovski celebration and she said "that guy's cute." I sent her upstairs and she's banished from coming down until the game's over. I sent the dog up there, too.

How should the Canucks play the third period... offensively or should they invoke (is that even a word?) the trap given they're up by two?

I say play offensively.

Geesh, that: Who has the better buns Subway commercial is really annoying.

What was that call? Mclean didn't even touch Cloutier.

If she thinks Jovo's cute, you might want to keep your girl away from the dog....

That said, I don't know where Jovo would rank on the "hottie" scale.

I suggest you watch the replay again. Watch McLean's stick.

Can't stop the big line. WCE made the Avs' D look laughable on that one.

It depends a whole lot whether one is attracted to brains or not.

Mo just scored.

4-1 and that's game over.

Really bad defensive coverage by the Avalanche, and an inability to capitalize on the powerplay, especially early when we had three straight and had all the momentum.

I'm off to take out some rage on the gf, see ya folks.

The game isn't over. You're not stuck with the dog yet.

I certainly hope you're not implying that my significant other is a dog.

If you mean my actual dog, well he doesn't like it when I raise my voice like I
ve been doing and he goes and hides under the computer desk.

Of course not. You're the one that said you were sending your dog upstairs. You shouldn't have even asked that question.
