HeŽll either score a hattrick against Montreal, or heŽll tear a ligament and become sidelined for 3 months;o)

Hopefully, since I'm watching that game.
Seriously though, I don't care if he scores as long as he keeps his 2 A/G pace up.

Forsberg isn't going to score a single goal this season.

He'll rack up 140 assists though.

I'm perfectly happy with Peter just setting everyone up, he seems to have given everyone just a little more confidence when he's out there.
I think we'll see him put the biscuit in the basket against the Caps, because anyone can against them.

I had heard that the Flyer's Management was putting pressure on him to score a goal to justify the signing and the off-season advertizing. Sounds stupid to me, but with Clarkie who knows?

If that is really the case, then that is incredibly stupid. The guy is so valuable out there, he doesn't ever need to score to justify his signing!

A better question might be whether it matters, if he keeps notching a couple of assists per game.

If he remains scoreless tomorrow, the chance of the habs winning the game goes up a lot. I clearly hope he doesn't score assist or goals at all against us but that is just wishfull thinking with a player of his calliber.

Even joking about that should get you banned from our board.

Does anyone have a list of Forsberg's goals/assists/points vs. each NHL opponent (career) and if so can they post it?

You might be better off looking over on the Avalanche board, ya know.

if he keeps averaging 2 assists a game they aren't saying anything to him... nor would they anyway. that would be the most asinine thing ever...

Well, whether he scores or not, he needs to keep shooting so that he keeps the D honest. They are already starting to play him for the pass only, which will eventually cut down on his effectiveness. I think that's why he was shooting a bit vs. Toronto. He knows he needs the full arsenal.

I'd be happy if Forsberg never scored a single goal if he kept setting them up at the rate he currently is

that sounds really stupid. I wouldn't want to make Forsberg unhappy just because of that.

forsberg is not a hardcore goal scorer ...... he does alot of things and getting goals is one of the last ...

I dont think he ever had over 30 goals in one of his seasons with the Avs ...
