He'll get one tonight, but it'll be called back and then he'll score an honest to god one against Ottawa with an empty netter.

Yeah, so far they have showed four Philadelphia games which is really nice and they will show the Montreal game tonite. I hope he gets his first goal tonite, would be cool though if he got it on home ice, the crowd would go nuts.

Forsberg has got a superb shot, both slapshot and wrister. The problem is that he doesn't use it that often as he should, guess he just like to pass instead. I would say he has one of the best shots in Philadelphia for sure. I think he was like 22% or something on his shots in the last season, the season that probably would have been a record goalscoring one if it wasn't because of injuries.

Can't find a replay of the penalty shot, but how did that not go in, the puck is behind Luongos pad...

Thats not the penalty shot, that the goal w/ under a minute left. The penalty shot was over the crossbar

I thought that was a little funny. No one in the stands is standing, and a few arent even looking at Forsberg. During the PS the place was deafening and everyone was on their feet screaming their heads off.

I was hoping Forsberg would deke luongo on that play, but off the bar sucks. He shows up to score a huge goal later though so it was all good.

I love how Peter had no idea why he was chosen. I thought you could pick anyone on the ice and in this case, I would have chosen Gagne or Pitkanen over Forsberg.

Gagne would be most likely to score imo.

But, I think Hitch was hoping trying to give Forsberg an opportunity to get a goal. There's also a bit of showmanship in his decision; you're at home, your stud new player is on the ice....that was for the fans.
