10th in typical Ranger fashion.

Main reasons being chemistry and a Dunham groin injury.

I think two games is still too early for a fan to go from saying they will finish sixth to saying they will finish eleventh.

Here's a simple formula that the Rangers need to follow:

Too many ego's + way high payroll + lack of defensive awareness = no playoff berth. The Rangers should take a page out of the Lou Lamoriello school of hockey. A team is built from within. You have to rely on your prospects to come in and fill the gaps. You can't buy heart and determination. It seems to me that all Sather has done since coming to Broadway, is made a mess out of team that lacked direction. In a way you can't blame him, he was used to working in a small market and finally got the taste of some primo dollars, howver he was like a kid in a candy store. You'd think he learn from his mistakes over the past seasons not to spend money on the market, but signing DeVries for that ludicrous contract proved once again that this guy is smoking the best opium in town. One thing that will help this team significantly is a lockout and a salary cap. Once they get rid of Messier, Lindros, Nedved, Bure, Kovalev, Kasparitis, Mironov, Malakhov, DeVries and Holik they will be a better team. It's time to ante up and represent our Atlantic division better boys, you're making us look too good.

Even though this is a private poll, i wonder if our modertors know the identity of the voters.

If they do, I'd be more than happy to go into a joint venture with them selling some national landmarks (The Lincoln Memorial, The Golden Gate Bridge, etc.) to four of the voters.

I voted 1st....and here's why...

The East is usually so tight that when a team has a hot streak they can move up 3, 4 or sometimes 5 spots. So if the Rangers can stay mildly competitive up until about February, we get hot, and teams like NJ, Ottawa, and Philly get cold... look out!

President's Trophy...here we come!
