I hope your right, FLY, but why do I just have the feeling that the Isles are gonna pound on us all night? I hate it when visiting teams come into our building and are physically superior to us. Where the heck is Hollweg or Worrell? And what is Renney's infatuation with the soft ice capade players?

Renney hedged a bit..

saying that Henrik saw him at the Garden, but also said that he thought Weekes will emerge, which means that Henrik will fail shortly, which would mean that Renney's original statement that Weekes is his number 1 would be true.

Let's see how well they prepared with all the time off. I'm starting to have a lot of faith in Renney.

Your probably right, but you never know. I just don't want the guy to see 40 shots a couple games in a row and get shelled. It looks like he's a pretty tough minded guy, but that kind of ordeal can have an effect. Most of all i'm just suggesting caution. This is a "rebuilding" year so there should be no reason to have him play anymore than 2/3 of the games. Let weekes get in there every third game and take some of the shelling, if it comes to that.

by the way does anyone know how extensive Hossa's injury is, and how long he'll be out?

And does anybody have any ideas on what Fedorov's role will be after he's back? If he can't be sent back down (which I've heard) and he's usless on the third line (which everyone who's ever seen him play says) then where does he play when Marcel comes back?

True Blue..

I happen to think that 4th line or not, Prucha and Moore are developing a chemistry that will be interesting to watch.

Both are very quick, and seem to be finding each other's tendencies. They'll get more time as the season moves along.

Ian Davis

I agree that Prucha and Moore are developing a chemistry. However, I think that they are destined to play on different lines and have vastly different roles in the future. I think that Prucha has a chance of being a 2nd line wing and Moore is destined to be a 3rd/4th liner. However, I will admit that Moore has shown more but I still do not feel that he is top 6 forward material.
I think that Prucha will find success faster if he is playing more minutes (note I do not mean Jagr's 22) with more skilled players. However, this is a catch-22. I do not know who is more of a skilled forward right now, Moore or Rucchin.

does renney's "gut" feeling about starting henke tonight have anything to do with wanting to avoid weekes getting booed out of the building if he were to let in any softies?

Taffe looks much less "shoe saleman-ish" with his head shaved.

I'm definitely nervous for this one, but excited too. The building is going to rock when they introduce Henke.

does drats' scratch mean strudwick will remain in the lineup? as much as i hate to see drats sit over somebody else, say, rosival, i appreciate the fact that there will be a physical presence in our lineup tonight.

Maloney said it is for added "grit" tonite...I don't expect either move to be permanent...

I think whoever struggles tonight, will yeild to Kondratiev.

Prucha upstairs make little sense to me though.
